This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star

Man, that title is so depressing if you think about it. Five centimeters per second. People, slowly drifting away. But yet, how hard is it to move five centimeters per second? It's an easy speed to make, an easy thing to do, something anyone could've done. Five centimeters per second is not an insurmountable gap, it's not an impossible goal, it's not a force of nature which would take a great deal of effort to overcome, it's nothing that can't be done, and yet... We let things drift away, we don't run to catch them, even though, all they're moving at, is five fucking centimeters per second.

I enjoy this thread because Andy Williams has recorded this song.

You start by providing offerings to the altar of a so-called "waifu" (the most influential deities of the 2D realm).

Last night, Hisui and I were affectionately cuddling on the rocking bench in the park next to my childhood home, marveling at the simple beauty of a sunrise, the smell of fresh dew and the gurgle of the nearby brook lulling us into a gentle peace, the kind where you can honestly say with a wide, slightly silly smile on your face that despite it all, the world is goddamn beautiful. It's fucking corny, I know, but just being able to appreciate the tranquility of nature with a loved one was one of the happiest moments I ever had in my life.

My pillow was near soaked this morning. ;_;

In my imagination
There is no hesitation
We walk together hand in hand
I'm dreaming
You fell in love with me
Like I'm in love with you
But dreaming is all I do
If only they'd come true

It's really painful to wake up after such a dream. For a moment you feel like it's still real but then it hits you: it was just a dream.

Sadly I am heterosexual, or I would cook for you.

Oh. Okay.

I'm actually not a bad cook myself, but since I'm the only one I have to cook for, sometimes it's nice to think about someone who will cook for me sometimes and then I'd cook for them sometimes and then we'd wash dishes together ;_____;

Sometimes when I make a really delicious meal, I consider going out and looking for a bum to give it to, because it depresses me that no matter how good food I make, it won't bring joy to anyone but me. But then I realize it'd be useless to look for a bum in this town, and I end up eating too much on my own, since I always unconsciously make enough food for two.

There's your problem. You eat because you have no one, no one will have you because you eat. It's a vicious cycle, fatty.

Making certain things (such as soup) for one person is a huge pain. You start having to use things like 1/16th of a cup and other ridiculous proportions.

Still, homemade soup with homemade noodles and everything is crazy delicious.

Alternatively you could just make a huge batch and exercise self restraint eat it over multiple days. Some of the stuff I cook lasts me for ~2 weeks.

This topic is pissing me off, it's got a movie stuck in my head but I can't remember the name or find it on imdb.

It's foreign (possibly Italian), starring a former soccer player who spends the majority (all?) of the film in a fat suit.

He plays a (possibly retiring) detective who loves to eat when a man is murdered in his house. He finds out who did it and instead of arresting them blackmails them into coming to his house for dinner every night. Since he has never really eaten with anyone he eats how he normally does (stuffing himself with as much food as quickly as possible). The girl is horrified and so on and so forth, ends up in an argument with the girl eventually removing a sheet off one of his many covered mirrors in the house and insulting him. Repeat over the course of the film.

Does anyone know the name? I think it was something like 'The Eater' but I can't find anything.

>He plays a (possibly retiring) detective who loves to eat when a man is murdered in his house.

The murdered man (an artist) was murdered in his home, not the detective's.

Just clearing that up.
