What kind of rice cookers do japs actually use? I want to buy one from nipon but I don't know how to get jap reviews of jap products.

Just go to fucking Wal-Mart and buy an Aroma with a locking lid. Not like the kind in OP, those suck and will burn your rice.
Don't pay the $100+ for a Zoji unless you really want to waste your money that badly for GRORIOUS NIPPON QUARITY.

Aroma locking lid actually cooked worse rice than one of the cheap ones like the OP pic. one half of it was always wet and mushy.

A named Japanese one, like Zojirushi.

I'm not a chink, but I bought one, and although it takes like 40 minutes or something, it never burns the rice, and it's always cooked properly. The nips put their heart and soul into making a machine that perfectly makes their favourite food, and it shows.

>>15150495
Buy bad, buy twice. The cheap one will require attention as it cooks, because of some quirk, like a cheap toaster or something.

While you are at it look into something you can have ready for a pre-set time if you plan on having rice for breakfast or as you get home.

This x1000000000 been using a zoji for years and it's always been perfect. That little song at the end when your rice is done always gives me a nice warm feeling.

I'm going to vouch for Zojirushi here. Had a $20 Black and Decker rice cooker. Somehow, the rice tastes like shit. Fucking trash.

Just get Zojirushi or Tiger like everyone else has said. I've eaten rice almost everyday and have probably used only 2 or 3 rice cookers throughout that time because they last so long. So if you don't eat it everyday it'll probably last your whole life or however many decades. Cost depends on what size you get but it'll probably be around $100.
