News:
-Kawakaze gets a Kai 2 at level 75, which can equip daihatsu but not Ka-Mi. She now also drops at 2-5.
-150+ ships get 3rd anniversary voice lines, replacing Coming of Spring lines. Yuugumo, Naganami, Harusame Kai and Mizuho also get temporary Spring Bouquet sprites.
-For the 3rd anniversary, a free present box is given upon login, and a temporary 3rd anniversary quest rewarding a wall scroll has been added, along with 6 permanent one-time quests, one of which rewards a Ka-Mi.
-Uzuki and Akashi will drop in Extra Operation maps until the next maintenance. Akashi drops in 1-5 only for those without her.
-Type 98 Night Recon plane can now be improved at Akashi's.
-Mogami-class Kai, Ise-class Kai, Akagi Kai and Zara/Zara Kai have their stats buffed. Mogami-class Kai also have their plane counts buffed.
-BGM while browsing the kanmusu library has been changed.
-The theme for the large scale Spring 2016 Event is "Combined Arms Battle". It will be based on an "if" operation, start on May 2 and last for around 3 weeks. Iowa, who first appeared in the PS Vita game, will be an event reward.
-Friendly installations, land-based aircraft and their famed pilots are planned to be added, with the first two coming this Spring event. Mitsubishi G4M will be one such aircraft.
-An Asashio-class DD will get her Kai 2 this spring.
-The voice lines of Pola of the Zara-class are completed.
-Kamikaze-class DDs are planned to be added.
-A new aerial system will be implemented this year.
-Android lottery results are out. 250k winners will be able to access the port when it is implemented after Spring event.

They are generally used in cheese strat. If they got buffed without fixing it cheese strat will dominate, and if they fix it we will have no cheese strat anymore. Either one seems not ideal, hence subs should stay this way.

Choukai Kai Ni has better stats than any other CA (the difference is rather marginal, though) and gives a unique Kai4 radar that can be equipped on DDs for +8 Acc.

Nah. It's a challenge for sure, but not as much of a hard mode. Cranes are the best carriers but all carriers are very strong. Bongos you completely stop using after some time (I only take them to make 5-4 cheaper) - this would require leaving Ise class as normal BBs though until you get gaijins. DDs are average except two Aasashios who aren't necessary either. Abukuma is the best CL by far but people cleared Summer without her. Hayasui sucks.

If Bofors turns out to work the same as 25mm (CD) then it doesn't really offer anything, just a sprinkle of placebo stats over the competitor. For DD go with either no gun or 2 guns. 1 gun is a no-no. So really it's a toss-up between 2 guns + tank and 2 WG42 + tank and WG42 + daihatsu + tank. However, you also have to take into account the equipment available.

When setting up a fleet like this for 6-4, the most important thing is to spread out the equipment that can damage installations, so that all can deal decent damage to them. He has 5 such pieces of equipment to equip on 4 ships (for CAV WG42 is actually better than sanshiki but those 4 ships benefit a lot more from it) so it's a spread of 2/1/1/1. The 2 being on Ooyodo is the only setup that allows all of them to double attack, so 2 WG42 on Ooyodo it is. 2 WG42 + tank requires 3 pieces of equipment and WG42 + daihatsu + tank requires 2 pieces of equipment, so that setup is reserved for people with more necessary equipment. On top of that the daihatsu + tank combo is still untested so I'll hold off and keep the double attack where possible, until its effects are known.

And yes, it would be more relevant to success rate even if formula worked as you speculate because when every miss can mean being sent home like on E7, you want to minimize their amount. Having lower accuracy and evasion won't punish you as much on other maps. 1% more accuracy on E7 is worth more than 2% more accuracy elsewhere. Especially since there was a timer on armor debuff and you wanted as many runs as possible to count. Escort fleet of Kidou Butai fought first and each member of it could have been sent home by most of enemies you faced. That's an extreme situation in which details matter more than usual.

I just spam six lv99. Bucket usage is lower than I imagined though definitely higher than with normal fleet. Resupply cost is much higher than I would like it to be, due to having one more fight than north route. I only bucket chuuha. When Ro-chan falls to chuuha, I take a break and repair her. Maybe things would be easier if I had dupes and/or married subs. Who cares, I only want top500.

Levels don't really matter, what matters is the number of subs and how many sets of them you have. Most bucket friendly way to run is running subs without spending any buckets with 4 docks if possible while also running north.

If you also care about speed and not retreating as much you need sacrifical unremodeled subs that you advance in red pre-boss with.

Only sub worth marrying for ranking is Shioi unless you plan to run only 1 set where you bucket all your remodeled subs every time

When running subs only I just run 2,4 and sparkled 9. Sparkling 5 is just too much of a hassle when ranking.

The thing with sub bucket use is that it's very luck based if you're not running final form. The frustration isn't usually worth it for the rewards and you should just run north if you have ships to level still.

I don't regret it at all. You don't use many radars at once so it's not a problem. T32 are better for DA chance anyway, FuMO aren't outright better than them. Burgers should come with some nice radars too.
