Possible Mima reintroduction

Hey guys I just wanted to see if anyone would have any idea or thoughts on how you guys think that IF Zun was able to bring back Mima(scratch out all the trouble behind it) how you think he would try to incorporate her back into the main cast.

My theory was that Mima would either be resurrected or still remain a ghost but return as one of the main cast. Her role would be that she is hinted to be a related to Marisa(thus why she tutors and strong bond between them) but also that the Kirisime's were once direct rivals to the Hakurei's.

Your thoughts guys/gals?

Incident with a youkai who has an ability like D4C (I dont think Yukari can do this) who ends up breaking the barrier between the two worlds. They begin to merge and then it becomes one timeline (which is just the new timeline with extra characters).
Mima is the final boss.
Extra is alternate reality Reimu.

The problem with meta narratives like this is that it's all so often the point a series jumps the shark. I don't know if there's something fundamentally universe-breaking in meta as a concept, or if it's selection bias where only shit series close to creative bankruptcy choose to introduce "diverging timelines" bullcrap. Either way, if Mima (or Shinki, or any other PC98 character for that matter) is reintroduced I'd rather it be done subtly and within the established universe, like >>15107325 said (i.e. the Alice treatment).

Mima never went away. She's been living in the attic at the Hakurei shrine all this time and spends her days lazing around. Her story starts with Reimu and Marisa annoyed at her for being a freeloader. They have flash backs of several prior incidents where Mima slept, drank with Suika, and read magazines instead of offering to help. They threaten to kick her out if she doesn't start pulling her own weight.

Let's assume that Makai is the 'old folks home dimension' of Genesokyo, a place where old youkai go to retire peacefully (protected by a barrier - essentially a pocket within a pocket),. The incident is that someone (Lunarian/Martian or whatever) has broken into it and made it physical again within Gensokyo. Reimu,Marisa et al investigate from the outside, and they meet up with Mima, Shinki et al doing their investigation from the former inside of Makai.

Just a couple of idle thoughts generated.
