Timing the audio for DASD-299 is a real bitch. They don't seem to talk at all, except for very, very few lines. Not even fifty kimochis per second, just generic moaning that doesn't help. I think I've got it right. I'll encode it for now and see afterwards if it works right.

Has anybody got tips for this kind of shit? With MIAD-707 it was easy. The movie starts on a clear cut and background music chimes in. So just by checking the audio meter and comparing when the picture starts, I could fix the audio in 5 seconds. DASD-299 fades in and fades out, reliably, every time.

Also, naturally you don't have to buy Blackmagic, I don't mean to shill their shit, it's just the only one I use, it's a first for me as well. Another guy I talked to yesterday used a simple USB dongle that would enable him to capture losslessly too, but he could also encode his cap directly to x264 at any chosen CRF.

Not sure if this is what you mean. So few threads ago I posted pics and videos where Tsujimoto An and Julia went abroad to shoot something. I pointed out a gaijin in a car, then other anon recognize the crew from that video you're talking about. And so we were speculating that they're going to make volume 2.

However, looking at shooting locations posted in Tsujimoto's blog (it's Guam), they look like backdrops you see in image videos. That ruled out Tsujimoto. Not sure on Julia's side. But I won't put too much hope.
