-Maintenance will start on April 1st for Ooshio kai 2 and a revamp to Hayasui's Offshore Resupply ability.
-Daihatsu Landing Craft (T89 Medium Tank & Landing Force) and Special Type 2 Amphibious Landing Craft(Ka-Mi) has been added. Both can gather resources from expeditions with less effectiveness.
-New upgrade chain for the Daihatsu Landing Craft, giving small bonuses to expedition gains that go beyond the cap and bonus damage against installations for all versions.
-Akitsushima and Hayasui kai can now equip Daihatsu.
-New 6-3 quest has been added with Daihatsu as a reward.
-New Akizuki-class spring furniture has been given out to all players.
-Kawakaze will receive her kai 2 remodel this Spring, another Asashio-class is planned later.
-Hatsuzuki can now improve T94 AAFD and 10cm HA+AAFD.
-Pola of the Zara class is ready for implementation sometime this year.
-The Spring 2016 Event's theme will be "Total War". Iowa, who first appeared in the PS Vita game, will be an event reward.
-The Kamikaze class is still planned to be added.
-Player-owned installations, land-based aircraft and their famed pilots are planned to be added. Mitsubishi G4M will be one such aircraft.
-A new aerial system will be implemented this year.
-Android pre-registration has ended, only 100k players will be selected via a lottery by the next maintenance.

A lot of artists usually suffer from sameface syndrome, Shibafu's DDs aren't any better either, but Ichiso has also the added bonus of the whole tracing thing going on and being kinda popular and consequently hated thanks to muh elites. At least now that Kaga isn't the pinnacle of carriers anymore and people jumped on the Abukuma shitpost train, the potatoe hate seems to have died down a bit.
The sameface is a tad bit annoying, sure, but really not as bad as some anons makes it out to be, especially now that his seasonal art shows improvements too. Personally, I don't really care about it all that much as long as I find the general designs still cute.

Try to do all the weeklies and monthlies that reward screws. Some of the sortie quests are a pain so you can and should ignore them early on. Use Akashi-list.me to make a schedule and start upgrading the most important things daily to first +1 and then to +4.

Level your Chitose/Chiyoda to 50 and remodel them all the way.
Your carriers and battleships could really use some help. If you're serious about doing no Shibafu challenge, you'll need dupe CVs and BBs. Dupe Kongous will help a lot. Dupe Fusous will help too, but only at kai 2. And you will need dupe cranes and dupe Taihou, but Taihou can wait. For now, get a second pair of Chitose/Chiyoda and kai 2 them, then keep a third pair as AVs.

If you don't want dupes either, then good luck, because you'll be screwed.

I may be wrong but to put it shortly.

- In opening attack dive bombers get a 1.0 modifier to their attack while torpedo bombers get either a 0.7 or 1.5 modifier, decided by RNG.

- In shelling dive bombers get a bigger modifier to firepower than torp bombers.

With this it seems like dive bombers are a viable option but there are a couple of problems with this.

- Dive bombers don't get as high values on attack than the torp bombers: The highest attack torp bomber, Murata, has a 15 torp attack value while the highest dive bomber, Egusa reaches only 13. Something similar happens with craftable planes with Ryuusei Kai having 13 torp stat and Suisei 12A having 10 dive bomber stat.

- As long as you reach the daytime damage cap it doesn't matter with which plane you reach it and torp bombers are enough to get you there. All of this while providing a better opening strike.

So yeah, right now it's more like the dive bombers don't have enough attack to overcome the torp bombers even with their advantages. I can only hope that the USN will bring great dive bombers like the SBD Dauntless and the Curtiss Helldiver which will put to shame the Suisei and bring dive bombers to the top of the line.

The most exciting thing about Satsuki kai 2 is that she can equip daihatsu. The people who had her have been leveling her through expeditions, the people that didn't probably don't feel like going out of their way. Many might not even have the daihatsu to spare. I did BBV flag once and it was my second worst month. I used to put CA as flag simply because I like them more and Fusou was already high level but it seems like flagship protection for CA and BB tanking Ta/Nu overweights the benefits of starting second shelling with AP cut-in. And? BB being flag or second has no relation to that. Ru Kai is in fourth spot, even if you kill the balls your BB will still attack first.

And no, CA's crit can take down or at least cripple Ru Kai as well, I had it happen many times.
If you meant the fact that BB's artillery spotting is more valuable and it should be the one getting the boost, it isn't as clear as you would like to believe. CA's double attack is stronger vs Wanko and with that you have a chance of bringing her to chuuha depending on if she was targeted in first shelling. If that happens, you get another free shot in second shelling. Same thing applies in yasen but even more.
If you want to say the chance of targeting flagship is too low than CA in flagship position gives higher chance of clearing trash which survived first shelling so your BB has higher chance of targeting Ru Kai in second shelling.
Anyway, at boss node there are more benefits to CA being flagship and on the way it isn't clear. My experience tells me it helps there more than BB flag but my sample size of BB flag was very small.
