Problem with basing anything on the bible is it belongs to a religion that's still being practiced. You can't alter or even interpret anything without upsetting someone, somewhere, who will gladly visit you with a breakfast of molotov cocktails in bed.

Let's say you play as the demi-immortal human son of Yahve, a "brooding spirit of flame cast out from the Navel Mountain", and a mortal woman. Caught between the mortal world of endless suffering which alternately hates and fears you, and a distant, uncaring immortal father who only raises you to be sacrificed as part of an obscure scheme. A setting where the order of the day is kill or be killed, everyone is a liar and common sense is brief at best.
After all, that is what it really is about.

1. VNs only really sell in Japan, China and Korea. Japan is not a Christian nation, or even very religious, so there is no political career or profitable media shitstorm to be made out of depictions of the Bible's pornographic content. In fact, it would be exotic and cool, so it might become really popular.
2. Shinto is a religion that's still being practiced, and I'll bet someone here can think of a VN that includes miko raep.
