I mean in terms of gameplay... or is it like a VN where you just click a mouse button a lot through walls of text?

>> No.14926

I think it's some kind of robot strategy game

>> No.14943

Thats only with ML Altered Fable, which featured a strategy game, but all other ML games are VN

Well that's a disappointment. I just don't much see the concept behind VNs... the walls of text in particular, there should be at least some degree of interactivity wouldn't you think? The CGs looked so nice too.

Is this game translated?

>> No.15109

>>15073
It's generally regarded as the holy grail of VN hacking because the rUGP engine is obnoxiously obtuse. Also, motherfucking long and requires at least one other game to be translated first (which is just as long as just as technically fickle, but a crappy generic highschool romance for at least 50% of it).

So, lol no and likely never.

It's the story of Takeru, a young man who's in his last year of high school, who live a pretty normal life alongside his clingy childhood friend Sumika, his best male(?) friend Mikoto, the class president Chizuru, the silent and sarcastic lone wolf Kei and the class mascot Tama.
One day Takeru awaken to see a young beauty in his bed, that girl, Mitsurugi Meiya, quickly disappears but he met her again when she transfers to his class and begin to live in his house. That girl who is extremely rich proceeds to change Takeru and his friends daily lives.

Extra and Unlimited are both awesome you know.

>> No.15251

>>15194

Thanks for the summary, however just what is it that makes them awesome?

>> No.15280

>>15251
They are extremely epic science fiction stories with love, betrayal, mindfucks, etc, plus purty presentation (it looks better than low-budget anime). I actually don't like them much because I consider the epicness forced and also dislike the character design, but I definitely see what makes them appeal to some.

That's only the beginning of Extra, you could say it's the prologue of the true story though it's pretty much a stand alone game.

The real beginning:
One day Takeru awakens in his room alone, his memory is fuzzy, the last thing he remembers is being at the hot spring(an even at the end of Extra) and neither Sumika nor Meiya came to wake him up. What he finds when he gets out of his house is a desolate world, everything is in ruin and Sumika's house seems to have been wrecked by a mecha.
Of course he thinks he's still dreaming and is actually pretty excited by this setting since he's a huge mecha fan. After visiting the now ruined city for a while, Takeru goes to his school and finds in its place a military base. In front of the base Takeru who still believes he's in a dream is arrested and locked up for days till a familiar face visit his cell.
That person is Youko, Takeru's teacher but she doesn't recognize him at all, after some time Youko begins to believe in his story and tells him he isn't in a dream. The world is in now is at war with aliens called BETA, humans fight the alien using Senjutsuki, humanoid mecha.
Takeru who still doesn't fully believe he isn't in a dream and with nowhere to go accept to become a serviceman in the base, training to become a pilot for a Senjutsuki. Soon enough he met other familiar faces again though they all don't know him but his childhood friend Sumika is nowhere to be found.
And that's how Muv-Luv really begins, a really long tale that goes beyond time and dimension.
