Holy fuck /jp/,

I just finished Ever 17, hearing how it was supposed to be great and needing something to do before FSN was released. And then I finished it in only three days plus pulling an all nighter to get Coco's end. Now I've slept 10 hours and I still think: "Holy fuck, that was the greatest Brick Shit fest since Famicon Detective Club 2."

I mean, it was all foreshadowed, everything, yet I would have never guessed That the two events took place 17 years apart from each other. In my mind I had made up a lot of shit about there being two different dimensions, or Coco/Sara dying locked in an elevator in each respective event. I even expected Takeshi and the Shounen to be one and the same person, just differently aged versions of each other. Funny how I was somewhat right with that.

I must say the end was very satisfying, it explained everything, and most of all IT ALL MADE SENSE. No paradoxes.

So guys, what’s your opinion, did you shit as many bricks as I did and were you satisfied with the ending?

Oh just in case anyone cares:
The German in the game is mostly... allright.

You can tell they're not natives but you can tell they tried. Some things are really painful to read, like LeMMIH's true name (see picture) Or "Wache Zimmer".

Also in America and Japan the ground floor is identical to the first floor, in Germany however it goes: Ground Floor, First Floor, Second Floor. And Ground Floor does not mean "Erste Boden" but "Erdgeschoss" So it should either have been:
Erdgeschoss - Erster Stock - Zeiter Stock
or
Erster Stock - Zweiter Stock - Dritter Stock

Not that it matters, but floors under ground are usally called "Untergeschoss" anyway.

But most German in the game is decent, like the Announcements at the end or the names of most rooms, so it was okay. It was really fun to play a game that used German as a "mysterious foreign language".

There are a few clever hints that go unnoticed.

Morning scene in an early Kid route day:
Kid splashes water in his face in the bathroom to wake him up. The mirror is cracked.

Sara and You's flashback to the hacker's club:
It's mentioned that You's mom has a robot dog. It's Pipi after Blick sends him up in 2017

Reread the first few days in Kid's route. Pay special attention to Tsugumi.
She knows who he is:
"I never thought you'd join up with them."
Knowing she's his mother, her words seem more like an angry mother's scolding:
"Don't you ever talk to me again."
Sara has probably figured out Tsugumi's identity:
"You're just running away from me like you ran away from him"

Kid's perspective is definitely worth re-reading for the first few days.

Okay guys, another thing I've wondered while playing.

Would it be technically possible to make an anime out of Ever 17? It would probably be very popular, but the main problem is that it would give away the fact that there are diffrent Takeshis and two diffrent Shounens.

In the visual novel this is not a problem since you never see the protagonists face and you don't hear his voice. However in anime you don't see through the eyes of a character but rather follow him around. So how the fuck would that be able to be pulled off?

I feel like, there could be a way, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Pipi was a robot dog in the first place, so I doubt it'd pick him up. And Chami was way too small.

Speaking of Tsugumi's good ending, it doesn't make sense to me how Takeshi getting out of the sub would help the buyoancy at all, I mean... due to opening the lid he let water in the sub with would increase the buyoancy again. And I seriously doubt that Takeshi was heavy enough to outweight all these liter's of water by 100 pounds.

There's a chamber in-between the actual seats and the exits.

>> No.1478974

>>1478963
That's what I'm talking about. This chamber is unmistakebly part of the sub, meaning any water entering there would be adding to the weight of the sub and thus lowering it's buoyancy. And since the chamber was at least large enough for Takeshi to fit in and close the lid behind him the water would easily outweight him.
The only possible explanation left would be that the kick Takeshi gave the cab was so strong that the momentoum carried the sub to the surface. Meh.

>> No.1478986

>>1478963

I believe he meant the water that entered before Takeshi left the sub.

O 2 C 1 S

Takeshi opens door 1 and enters the chamber C, then closes door 1. Takeshi opens door 2, water floods in, Takeshi leaves the sub. Tsugumi remains in room S, where the seats and the control panel are. That anon is worried about water remaining in C weighing even more than Takeshi.

Though, the water would leave the chamber C through the second door, together with Takeshi, wouldn't it?

>> No.1478987

>>1478974
If the chamber door was left open after Takeshi exited the sub, no more water would be entering into the sub. The chamber would know by filled with water, yes, but since the door is open the chamber is essentially outside of the sub, meaning it would have no effect on the buoyancy. This had me confused for awhile too, but it makes sense now that I've thought about it

>> No.1478991

I can't remember wheter Takeshi closes the door 2 or not after leaving the sub. But why the heck should the water leave the door 2 together with Takeshi? The moment he opened the door the air left and water flew in, so in order to avoid creating a vacuum the water has to stay inside even after Takeshi leaving the sub.

What I'm not quite sure of, does the archimedes principle apply to the Chamber C with the door is left open? It could be like that one guy said that since there is a fluid exchange between O and C that the archimedis principle only applies to the material the sub is made of and no longer the Chamber C and the air/water that was/is inside.
