Hey /b/ros, i really need your help now. I have to write an essay due tomorrow on theme how west influenced Japan.
Main things i need are
">first contacts"
">influence of translated books from west"
">influence of tv, film and media in 20th and 21st century"
So i cant find any of this stuff on internet. Help me out here lads.

you need to find more sources other than /jp/ if you want to be more spesific dude. but generally the first contact was the portuguese,dutch and the americans (admiral perry). for the translated books i think the dutch influenced a new style of medicine (rangaku).as for their influence on media maybe you can search more about japanese animation which were influenced by the american cartoons.
