14494931 No.14494931 [Reply] [Original] [archived.moe]

Last threads were fun, shall we try it again?

Let's have at least something pertinent to the main series, in this sea of secondary topics on /jp/, for this state cannot be tolerated.

In this thread: discuss gameplay, ask for advice, boast about your achievements, troll the CAVE trolls and have a good time. Players of all skill levels welcome, including those just starting.

Double Spoiler edition. I'm getting to the Hatate unlock! Currently at 85/108 scenes cleared. As expected, this game is like a more polished Shoot the Bullet albeit with more RNG. Supposedly that makes some scenes more difficult to clear, but relative to my time in StB, I find myself struggling much less with learning the scenes and doing them; it's more of an energetic exercise now, rather than torture as it used to be. At this point, I'm beginning to be concerned with taking some shots purely for score. I may be starting down a dark path. Try the photography games if you want to get good with Aya!

Post recent achievements.
I finally managed to beat Evil eye sigma with Reimu B. It's not that hard except for those goddamn clipdeaths that ruined many runs for me and for that phase with the bouncing balls, supossedly this is way easier to clear with Reimu C since she does tons of damage and can get full power on the stage with not too many problems. With this i finished all PC-98 extras, i think Alice was the harder of all of them.

>> No.14495053

I have restricted diagonal movement in all of the games, my keyboard is unable to register 3 keys at once sometimes, so I can only move east-north and west-south while charging. Come to think of it, most of my replays involve some diagonal movement in the directions I mentioned only. It doesn't help that I am not a particularly skilled player and mostly depend on luck. I will try to upload a replay after a good night's sleep.

What difficulty? normal? Ten desires is know for having little resources so a general tip is to grab life/bomb orbs (the pink and green balls) while you are on trance because trance doubles the ammount of heart/bomb pieces it gives you. So, if you are struggling for lives, memorize were the orbs appear and activate your trance pressing C.

I don't know, I had a really tough time getting C to max power, thanks to her slow speed. I personally found that I had the easiest time with A, but to each their own, and the Extra stage's lack of power in general.

Anyway, this is my most recent achievement. Yuuka is overall easier than Reimu for whatever reason, I think, but it's still a fun fight.

I just tested it out and it is easier to build your metter because you can kill the orbs before the phase with the stars and because you can actually bypass the phase with the green things that spawn random bullets, thought you can still have problems to build your power if you die.

Outside of managing to do PoFV once using a continue i am not very good and get annoyed too easily

>> No.14496235

Start with EoSD, you'll learn the basics of dodging here, the patterns are not too complex. Those basics include getting total control of your character, reading patterns, deathbombing and standing still (for stage 5). You'll probably hit a wall in stage 4 because there are certain enemies that make a lot of bullets, however you'll leanr that destroying these enemies clear the bullets of the screen.
Stage 5 is very gimmicky but after you learn the trick of the patterns is not too bad.
Don't give up and keep practicing.
After 1cc EoSD you should move to PCB because that game will force you to learn how to stream, which is a very important basic technique too.

Fucking done! Sensei who helped me before, if you're still reading these threads--how's that?

I thought it would take me a while but none of the scenes proved to be even half as difficult as Koishi's DNA, so I never reached even 800 shots on any other scene. Scenes 10-8 (770 shots) and 12-7 (605 shots) were the only ones that gave me significant trouble afterwards. As a bonus, I actually cleared the last spoiler scene on my first try; that's with all the empty snapshots.

Finally I can rest after all this madness. Now I understand why capturing Iku's pentagrams will be hell with Hatate. I like Hatate though.

Good work anon! Honestly, after the Komeiji's day everything becomes easier except for a few walls.
You can have a break if you want thought if you want completition there are two hard spellcards left.

Iku's laser pentagrams: Even thought i said that this one is really hard is not really that bad and is a really good exercise for patiente and repositioning.Once you understand how to get the first shot then you're set.
Vague Recolection: This one is much harder than with Aya. Even thought your Camera recharges pretty fast you need to stay much closer to her to get the shots, that means that you'll have to react faster to dodge the RNG hell of this card, however it's just three shots so if you didn't had any problems to clear it with Aya then it's only a matter of time until you get it.
Everything else is either too easy or a little bit harder.
Good for you anon.

Just gotta work to stay under her and get good at reading random bullets. You don't need to move that much, if you read it correctly you can position yourself in gaps before they form.

>> No.14500829

I'm still working on EoSD LNB, I've gotten up to Stage 6 without bombing now, but need to practice against Sakuya and Remi a lot more. I put together a nice run with no miss no bomb Stage 3, so I'm finally starting to feel like I have Meiling down. Currently my biggest obstacles are as follows:

Green Books - never been able to capture it, though I've gotten close a couple times thanks to good RNG.

Emerald Megalith - easily Patche's hardest spellcard due to the huge square bubble hitboxes in EoSD combined with them hiding the smaller green bullets. Only 1 capture on Lunatic in however many attempts.

Killing Doll - 2/63, it just lasts so long and knives have such annoying hitboxes.

Scarlet Meister - 0/36, is this the hardest spellcard in the game? Remi just pukes blood all over you and you have to go from side to side so quickly.

Any anons ever get that feel of... idk, Its almost like you're slipping out of the danmaku patterns, and you feel like you've already gotten waxed, but you haven't? Just feels ghostly. Thanks sempai... Yeah, Vague Recollection of Kinkaku-ji was looking tough for me until, 100 shots in, something gave and I just started dodging all the bullshit, so I ended up capturing it quickly after that. I still took the last photo with zoom, so I'll see how different it's going to be with Hatate.

I think Double Spoiler is overall not that difficult to clear, but I was pushing myself to finish it faster with Aya, hence my tired state. Also yesterday I tried out TH12.8 (Fairy Wars), it's actually amazing! It's nice that I now can maneuver between the bullets without paying much attention and can focus on the freezes; I think that's where all the fun begins. I'll definitely be playing that next, but I know I gotta finish Double Spoiler as Hatate first, though I'll be taking it much easier now. It's Christmas after all.

Feels really stupid that in my original playthrough of Touhou I moved from UFO directly onto TD when there are so much more fun games between those two.

>> No.14502153

be sure to play the Ex stage of GFW, it's one of the best in the series.

>> No.14502178

>That's how I was suppposed to beat it?

Yeah, the main gimmick of this stage is time stopping, so for most of the patterns you should stay still, wait until the bullets spawn and gently dodge them. It is actually a variation of streaming.

Icicle fall is indeed hard for begginers since it revolves about barrages of diagonal bullets coming from both sides, the trick is about concentrating in one of them first and look for an opening, then dodge and concentrate in the other one and repeat.
Skilled people can predict the opening when both of the barrages come together which requires less movement, however this takes lots of practice and you'll develop it naturally if you keep practicing reading patterns so don't worry too much about it for now.

For stage 4 i suggest you to use practice mode and play through stage 3 (or 2 since you have more trouble with it) and 4 until you feel confortable with your movements. Practice stage 4 until you can beat it with at least two of your lives. After a while you'll be able to unlock stage 5 and then you should move to practice 4 and 5 to learn how to read and misdirect patterns.

>> No.14502193

Fairy wars is indeed really fun, it is actually my favorite spin-off along StB. Some of the patterns are brutal if you are going for gold medals thought. As the other anon says the extra has really impressive looking patterns and is lots of fun but even if you are not going for that is fun just to unlock it. Really nice music too.
Good for you, is nice to take it easy after a long battle.

>> No.14502260

>That and something I'm ashamed to admit. CIrno's Icicle fall attack. I need to use bombs agaisnt it, which is a fucking waste.

>> No.14503019

I have to say I'm cautious about anything involving Marisa (I know that much) because every time when she appears as an enemy, after that follows everything at which I'm bad: lasers, star bullets, these star bullets coming in from all sides in confusing curving trajectories, sudden reaction-based dodging and fake difficulty like screen quakes. It's charismatic to be sure, but I hate going against her. Thanks though, I will at least try to beat her once unlocked. After all, I won't get better if I don't do my utmost.

In other news! Having completed the first two levels of Double Spoiler now as Hatate, I've finally seen the real point of the game. The point of Double Spoiler is not just to complete all scenes as Aya; it's to unlock Hatate and then rage at Aya's high scores and Aya's camera as you try to beat her results with your own mobile camera, somehow forgetting that these are in fact your own scores and you're competing against yourself. Well done, ZUN, well done; you've finally gotten me into scoring.

>> No.14503055

You can try this mental trick with the lasers: stand still at the bottom and let the stream of bullets almost reach you; then you'll have no choice but to dodge sideways, so let that be into the laser. It'll always work.

Who do you think have the most and least fun boss fights (in the stages where they're actually interesting)? I'd say most:
4. Marisa
5. Futo
6. Miko

And least:
4. Patche
5. Rin
6. Shinmyoumaru

Can't include the extra stages because I'm bad.

Aside from being easy, Shinreibyou has a lot of very flavorful spell cards that don't cross the line of being obnoxiously gimmicky, and a lot of Miko's in particular look quite pretty as well. On the other hand, Kishinjou is dangerously gimmicky in a bad way, and Shinmyoumaru has to be the least fun fight in the whole series, even more so than Rin and Patche who are just straight-up hard.

>> No.14507174

Most fun:

2. Kogasa
3. Doremy

6. Eirin
EX. Raiko

>> No.14507264

Most fun:

1. Yuyuko?
I haven't tried all the games on Lunatic... Also a problematic choice because she's more popularly thought of as a stage 6 boss. Nevertheless, Yuyuko.

2. Chen
Likewise, I haven't tried all the games on Lunatic, but Chen is fun for what she's worth.

3. --
None come to mind as outstanding.

4. Patchouli
She has my favourite type of danmaku so I enjoy dodging it even on Lunatic, spell card after nonspell after spell card.

5. Seija
She makes me laugh... so I pick her.

6. Yuyuko
I've only 1cc'd two games on Lunatic, the other being TH6, and I enjoy Yuyuko a lot more. I like her style of danmaku.

EX: Mokou
I like everything about Mokou. I beat Flandre today, but that doesn't change my opinion. But my other extras are only Ran, Yukari and Suwako.

Least fun:

4. Marisa
I hate her more than the two musicians from TH14 because she's such a well designed and colourful boss. For me, she's the reason I don't want to go for the Lunatic clear of TH8. Everything about her is frustrating fake difficulty to me. I used to think she was poorly designed, but it's just my problem.

5. Youmu
Not a fan of the slow mode gimmick, even if I can manage a LNM run of her...

6. Kanako
All I can say is "incredibly lackluster", although her final attack is good. I only tried her on Hard, though.
I haven't felt the difficulty of Shinmyomaru myself--gimmicky but nothing out of the line on Hard. Well, the enlarged hitbox avoidance is somewhat boring.

EX: --
I like the ones I have tried.

2. Sexybanki
3. Doremy
4. Aya
5. Seijass, for her reverse spells that i really love in Lunatic

Least fun :
1. Rumia
2. Cirno
3. Ichirin
4. Yatsuhashi/Ben Ben
5. Clownshit

3. Meiling - lots and lots of random bullet dodging which is very fun
4. Murasa - I like her non-spells a lot
5. Sakuya - Her first and second non-spells are very fun. Her 2nd non-spell specifically has really fun forced macro movement
6. Utsuho - most hype final boss fight, it feels like every non-spell and spell-card is a 'theatrical' type!
EX. Mamizou - cute danmaku, a survival card that's actually fun, that falling gingerbread man attack is awesome

What ingenuity! Just use replays.gensokyo.org next time.

Eh, it's alright. Stage portion in general seemed like a disaster but you can develop a strategy later. Generally staying higher on the screen before Chen makes it easier, and you can stream the green bullets close to their source.

Ran's first spell card which cost you so many resources is rather simple: it's a slow and risk-less tap dodging on the bottom of the screen.
The second spell card is best done in the bottom right corner--where you never went, for some reason. It's not a throwaway easy spell like the previous one, obviously, but that strat is best.
When the red and blue lasers make horizontal lines it's easier to fly all the way up to Ran and do simple horizontal dodging there, at least for me. The bullets are a bit slow to accelerate, so it's safe.
When Ran appears and disappears you did alright but try to make it vertical. You can dart to the side to divert the burst of bullets. It's an easy spell, overall.

Next up you would have the rotating swastika if you hadn't died to the nonspell (never should have gone into that corner). It's... gimmicky, but I think it's easy. Just stay at the bottom first; when you hear the sound and the laser blades are converted into point items go up and orbit Ran close to her. You can still pass through the lasers within the second after they appear. Orbit Ran close until you hear the sound again, at which point go to the side of the screen and the cycle repeats.

Also there's Ran's Chen spell. Just wait at the bottom till Chen is about to ram you, go up above her trajectory and then down. It's much easier than Yukari's version...

The other spells are not hard to understand, though they are hard to do.

Different anon here. I might give some advice, as I've been able to clear Ran (and Yukari) with all chars and shot types. Here's a replay of Ran with SakuyaA, like yours. It's nowhere near a perfect run, but might give you some hints: https://www.mediafire.com/?hies10p1kc5ajc1

The last barrage of the stage part is funny, just need to follow a fixed path.

As for Ran:

1st spell: this is really easy, just a streaming one. Stay still and tap a little on the side each time a wave is going to hit you.
2nd spell: requires dodging, but if you keep on one side there's more space to maneuver and waves are not synchronized (so you can dodge one at a time)
3rd spell: it is mandatory you stay as far on one side as possible when she's going to shoot the bullets, as they're aimed at you, and then get under her and repeat on the other side. Don't stay close to the bottom, or you'll be easily trapped by lasers.
4th non spell: a piece of cake, just stream those kunais.
4th spell: can't help here, as you can see...
5th spell: alternate between left and right, making sure to be up enough for Ran to appear so you can stay below her and shoot her.
6th spell: very easy, pay attention to the sound effect which signals the pattern change and follow the rotating red manji.
7th spell: the hardest, I believe. Just high speed dodging.
8th non spell: Although I failed it miserably, it's very easy as it's a basic streaming. Just need to change direction once.
8th spell: very easy but deceiving. Chen's path is fixed, learn it and don't stay on her way. Just watch out for the bullets, though they're slow and spaced apart.
9th spell: survival. Learn the bright circle's path so you can follow it more easily.
10th spell: I'm not sure how, but sometimes you can open a safe spot right below Ran. If it does it's a no brainer. Otherwise... good luck.

>> No.14510687

>9th spell: survival. Learn the bright circle's path
(I'm not the guy you're giving advice to) Of course, this is what needs to happen, but every attempt on this spell comes after a non-trivial amount of work, and there's no practice mode. That's what makes it so difficult for me: I need 20, 30, more tries to learn a spell, and each try takes ~10 minutes, assuming I even get that far.

I've managed to clear every game with every shot type on normal except DDC with SakuyaB. It's like she forces you to do an almost-perfect run no matter what because her bomb doesn't do shit. I'm used to perfecting the first four or five stages of a game and then coasting from there, but it looks like this time I'll actually have to fight Shinmyoumaru legitimately, which is ironic because she's the most cheat-y boss in the whole series.

No question here, I'm just mad.

I don't have any personal experience with Shinmyoumaru as Sakuya-B, but I can give generic advice which may help. A lot, there is a big gap between both StB and DS compared to a no items run of ISC, the first four days are bearable even without sub-items but in day 5 you'll realize that is gonna take a lot of resilience, luck and perseverance. In the photograph games you'll always have your camera.

Not that short, especially in the first few days.

The difficulty gets out of control later on. If you haven't already, I'd suggest doing a normal playthrough first so you can actually have some fun with it, then going for the no-item challenge afterwards.

>> No.14520039

Well, that one is honestly not that bad since there is a strategy for it, things like pic-related are harder for me.

Just keep trying for a bit or play the game normally until you unlock the sub-items. As i said before 100+ retries is a low number for this game, however don't over do it, it's good to push yourself to your limits but i found out that burning yourself retrying the same pattern over and over for a long period of time causes a lot of mental fatigue.

I'll clear it with items first when I get there, then.

Blogging alert. Currently getting into Fairy Wars (clearing all of StB with Hatate turned out to be unexpectedly easy), I like it but I always keep dying stupidly to various things on stage 3 of A1 until I'm out of lives, and my freezes are far from optimal and are basically improvised. Once I clear that route, would you be willing to look at my replay and point out what I've been doing wrong? I'll probably manage it sometime before New Year's...

>> No.14520392

You probably are not grazing as much as you need to, remember that grazing bullets make your freeze counter go faster. I can't remember exactly the A1 route but if i remember correctly all six routes have really good spots for streaming in stage 3. You need to put attention for these spots, also you need to train your finger to charge at the right moment and letting go even if your freeze count is not full, and in these cases put even more attention since the time the bullets are frozen is much shorter, however is still useful to do this on certain occasions.
Take it easy, there are five more routes for you to clear if you want to unlock the extra anyway.

Koumakyou may not be very polished or particularly challenging, but that doesn't make it bad. >> No.14532026

And it's one of the best windows games in my point of view, simple but effective mechanics without gimmicks and pretty patterns, a soundtrack reminiscent of the PC-98 era where ZUN melodies were more dark and the first game in the most recognized era of Touhou.
Plus a lot of people recommend it as an entry point in the series, secondary memes aside, it had one of the best cast of characters in the entire franchise.

A pure danmaku in the strict sense.

>> No.14532122

>but have you listened to some EoSD tracks that are on ZUN's music albums instead?

What do you mean? There are like four songs from EoSD in the albums, the one you posted is a re-arrange (just like most songs in DiPP) and the other three "direct" arranges are inferior to the originals, this last statement is true for almost every more direct arrange in the CDs.

>> No.14532367

Yes, as a relatively experienced player, I really like Koumakyou for the reasons you stated, but it lacks a lot of things that are staples of the other games: visible hitbox, enemy indicator, point item/life piece counter, and auto-collecting under full power, off the top of my head. Sure, the danmaku is relatively easy, but it's still one of the least accessible games for a total newcomer. A more polished game is probably a better place to start, even if it's harder overall, just to learn the basics in a game that provides all the usual tools.

>Uh? They are not
I think it's been too long since you were a newcomer.

I never said the danmaku was easy i said it wasn't complex, like say IN, where some of the later stages would throw really complex patterns that could be bypasses anyway since the game gives you a ton of resources. Also i wouldn't call a lack of visible hitbox a bad thing since most shmups don't have one and also because you don't really need it since there is barelly any micrododging in th game unless you are playing lunatic, which is something you won't do as a newcomer anyway. That without mentioning that it helped me a lot when i wanted to go bakc and play the PC-98 games.

EoSD was my second game and while Sakuya was hard the first times (just like any other boss) she wasn't really that bad, plus the hitboxes of her knives werent as retarded as the hitboxes of knives in recent games.

>> No.14533029

Do you mean the "shot" lasers that move, like in Monster Cucumber, or the "beam" lasers that show a tracer then appear, like in Non-Directional Laser? The former are basically equivalent to lines of ordinary bullets. The latter can be tricky sometimes because the hitboxes and setup times vary; Shou's can hit you even with the edge of their glow, Satori's appear relatively quickly, etc. I don't think either kind is particularly bad or unfun, though, as long as you know what's coming.

Of course, if you're talking about curvy lasers, nobody likes the fucking curvy lasers.
>Still, those lasers coming one after the other are pretty scary.

Arround the time between the PC-98 and EoSD ZUN compositions were more dark, i wouldn't call them "sad" since he played a lot more with weird scales and rhythm (Listen to some of Seihou project songs like Illusory science or even U.N. Owen was her)
For me they they never make me have a "depressing feeling", they give me more of a melancholic dark aura that i think is beautiful.

Both Dolls in pseudo paradise and the songs made for Curiosities of Lotus Asia are part of this era of compositions.

>The former are basically equivalent to lines of ordinary bullets.
I know that; I know that's how it should be, but in practice I often don't understand where the laser is going until it's one metre away from my character, and even worse and all too common is when my character is next to a laser and I SOMEHOW can't figure out whether the laser is to the left or to the right (I know this sounds absolutely retarded), so I "dodge" right into it. It's a constant embarrassment.

Curving lasers are bad, but somehow... not so bad, I feel like I can read them better than straight lasers once I get used to their curvature. Maybe I'm similar to >>14533050.

>> No.14533138

>> No.14533165

>in practice I often don't understand where the laser is going until it's one metre away from my character
That sounds more like a problem with the patterns than with the lasers themselves. Monster Cucumber in particular I find pretty hard to read, because there are so many overlapping lasers and it's such a messy patterns that it's easy for them to sneak up you. On the other hand, the ones shot by Yuugi's yin-yang orbs are very simple and regular, and thus easy to dodge.

>[...] so I "dodge" right into it
This happens to me sometimes, not just with lasers. I think it's because you're focusing on the laser, and when you have very little time to react, your brain's first panicked, twitchy response is to go towards the object you're focusing on. That kind of thing killed me a hundred times on My Way is Truly That of Heaven.

Does anyone have spoileral configuration for EoSD? Specifically looking for the 4.6 one that allows you to skip to a specific spell.

>> No.14533580

Fucking hell, the Extra stage road in 6 is just about impossible. The one time in twenty I actually get to Flan with only one death, she's a fucking cakewalk compared to that bullshit.

>> No.14533857

Stage portion is mostly streaming and basic dodging, a little strategy also needed for increased safety (the strategy is to take out the fairies very quickly by anticipating them). It's not that hard, Flandre is harder. Feel free to bomb on Patchouli for your first clear.

anyone play on linux?

trying to play pcb but it's acting all goofy

>> No.14535654

Yes, just streaming, except for the majority of bullets that aren't even aimed. No problem.

I'm resigned to using two bombs on Patche, but that's fine because if I even get that far, it's pretty much guaranteed I'll at least get to Maze of Love. It's those fucking big fairies in the first half that are the most lethal.

>It's those fucking big fairies in the first half that are the most lethal.
Incidentally, it's only their bullets that cannot be streamed. That's why you take them out quickly after memorising the time and place of their entry, anon. I just did the whole intro to Flandre as MarisaB and was able to stream safely, well, basically everything after Patchouli and part of what comes before her. Of course you need a bit of dodging while streaming too but it's nothing ridiculous so long as you don't cross the stream.

I do. All games work fine under wine but none of them behave well with multiple monitors, so if you have more than one monitor you have to unplug them and reboot (turning them off with xrandr won't work)
Also you have to turn off "emulate a virtual desktop" in winecfg

>> No.14537089

that's what it was, multiple monitors

it stuck to the bottom half of my second, unable to resize or move and had to kill it every time.

thanks, that worked.

No problem, it's a common problem with WINE

I wish a Touhou game was released for the vita, and didn't require me to reset with a Japanese PSN - I guess I won't have any Touhou while I'm not at my PC

Trying to 1cc the so-called """"""""Normal"""""""" mode in PoFV. That is all.

>> No.14539836

Just remember that playing against the AI is totally different from playing against a person. You can't outplay it, only outlast it. Play defensively and hang in there.

For what it's worth, I found it easiest to clear with Sakuya for some reason.

>> No.14540007

Yes, I actually did my first 1cc's as Reimu and Marisa yesterday, both quickly, but I'm interested in doing it on all characters. Maybe it's Reisen's fault, or maybe I'm just not the same player I was yesterday, but now I'm always short of the mark. I made it to Eiki six or seven times already, but I never last more than two and a half minutes.

Well, I use mostly level 2 spells, I don't bomb unless I'm about to grab the G powerup, but sooner or later I make one of those dodging mistakes or just end up cornered after I mess up and don't have a lv2 spell ready. There's something about chaining and combos, but I can't both pay attention to it and dodge at the same time. Overall the difficulty seems insane for being advertised as Normal mode, so I am wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

>> No.14540081

It's just hard. Not surprising, considering how different it is from the other games. Instead of just you dodging patterns, it's you versus an opponent doing the same things, and when that opponent is a computer, it has to intentionally play less than perfectly. The AI gimping system is basically "play for X seconds, then start intentionally getting hit". Balancing the difficulty of that kind of system is a lot harder than making doable bullet patterns.

Also, the difficulty curve is pretty fucked; the first six stages are babby mode, then 7 is actually a challenge, then there's Komachi and Eiki who just won't get hit for at least two minutes, while spamming their insanely good EX attacks the whole time. It can be incredibly frustrating.

But PoFV is meant more for the multiplayer than the story mode anyway, so don't stress about it too much.

>> No.14540105

you're probably not used to reisen, she is pretty good for clearing. Basically you don't have to worry about chaining very much with her because you can just spam your level 1 and automatically keep the chain with that

>> No.14540161

Thanks anons, I'll just have to "get good" then. To be honest I did notice that I could probably spam level ones as Reisen while staying invulnerable but I thought that it wasn't sustainable.

I'm playing PoFV pretty much intermittently with GFW to spice things up; I like the heavy dodging of nonstop bullets so I'm willing to put up with the rest of the bullshit if it means that I get to play essentially Touhou on crack. Not really annoyed with being set back when it's inevitable, but had to make sure that the difficulty was appropriate.
