I can't recall what they called it, all the way back when they had the nico stream at the beginning of the year. I believe they were announcing that very difficulty for the dailies during that stream too (they could also have cleverly danced around the issue by saying "new difficulty" and showing a slide). On a tangentially-related note, awakened Mikoto sure looked/looks cool.

Levels will help as well as keeping your armor on your frontline up. Archers for weps and warriors for armor/accessories, however, it doesn't increase plus chance, it only increases bonus chance.

If anyone is still playing FKG, here's a chart showing the general taxonomic placement of the knights released so far (though some of it may not be up-to-date, sorry about that). The devs seem to love lilies and mostly ignore grasses, but the knight distribution is still broadly similar to plant species richness (where rosids, asterids and the orchid family dominate most anything else), and I really appreciate how they take care to represent a broad range in both plant families and weapon types. They also seem to be going all across the board with new girls, so it's always fun to see what they'll come up with next (I'm still hoping for Catasetum, the pollen-launching, bee-crushing trebuchet orchid).

It's kind of odd for Anemone, Hakumokuren and Hinoki to be alone though, since both ranunculids and magnoliids have well-known plants like buttercup, wolfsbane, poppy, laurel and avocado, and there are obviously a whole bunch of conifers they can use. But they'll probably fix that in time, I'd be surprised if they didn't have a new pine or fir knight in the works for Christmas.

I really like FKG but those gatcha rates are thievery. 1/200 odds for the highest rarity is insane. You need to blow a fortune for even a chance at a rainbow, that is the main flaw besides the game being a bit simple. It would be cool to see it evolve more as an RPG and go beyond an autobattle system but that probably won't happen.

That's actually really cool. His skill gives him enough defense to tank stuff like giant golems with very little healing required, and when it wears off and he would die on the next hit, he gets paralysed and stops blocking the golem, so you won't even have to retreat him and keep his morale buff. So in a way, the paralysis can actually be useful.

This, Solano is actually really amazing in this event. Plus, her sprite looks awesome.
Stack up on mages (Solano, Odette + 1 more) plus two healers for a heavy armor in the middle. Get up Spica or Bashira early for all the fliers, retreat her as soon as the first golden mutt appears and throw karma in front of one of the two that spawn after the first one. If she's decently leveled, she should be able to solo the wolf.

Others are rather lacking in that department, although something could be said for Kanpani, Girl's Kingdom and Osawari. I'm not too familiar with them however so I can't say how much depth there is to them.

Lord of Valkyrie and Dragon Tactics are both clickers so you probably don't even want to bother with them.

There's really no point in raising silver pirates/samurais. You need awakened monica for her DC bonus anyway, so if you ever need pirate, she's the one you will use.
Stats are very critical for samurai, so you would use even plats. Altho class itself is useless compared to Anya, Magic Armors, Angels and so on.

The first split generally dictates the main difficulty of the rest of the run. I have no idea how strong your team is so dunno if that's a factor, but there's a few other factors.

Most all of the event maps Nutaku has seen have been extremely lenient with cost-efficiency. So throwing a Princess in, killing something, then retreating her and wasting ~10 cost isn't a big deal unless you were trying to clear the map with a low level team. Trying to do the same thing on a hard DMM event map will completely screw you over unless you're rolling with an Awakened Black team to cheese everything.

Also, other than Odette (and even then only on 1-2 maps depending on how strong your units are) punished you harshly for using Princesses instead of physical duelists. On JP you much more frequently see enemies and bosses with stupidly high MR.

Last map I remember actually needing valks to use for the killing a few units before retreating to get most of the cost back was the 100/2 map in Eden's event. But yeah, I do have a few awoken blacks, though my team has a lot of room to grow.

For enemies with high MR I can usually just pick them off with archers and VKs, I can't think of too many where valks would be needed. Not that I think you shouldn't use a valk now and then, I'm just dubious that you really need two as that one guy claimed.

Well, you would want at least one (Misha) for one-shotting Purple Goblins for crazy ramping on Subjugation maps, ideally you probably want another higher rarity one as well. But there are a few other units that can fulfill more or less the same role: Bandits, Prince, Swordmasters etc. (although with less MR unless you're using an AW Prince) that it's not really outright required unless your healing is too low without MR, still helpful though.

I cleared the main story with a level 55 lancer tanking the whole way. She used the Gae Bolg and the fire resistant Purgatory Helm both at +2 with around 650-680 defense and she walled Siegrid without any problems. The only main hurdles would be 10-1's Rogue boss, potentially 10-2's Rogue boss again, and 10-5 with all those superpowered Banshees. Part 2 is a joke in comparison to chapter 10.
My attacking units were level 68-70. Make sure you level up a Rogue to around 50+ so you can poison stall and cheese the shit out of tough bosses that you can wall. Try to get R8/R9/Labyrinth equipment and +2 them, and you should be fine to rush the content.

After the 40 stamina desert farming map, what is the next map to aim for to grind on? I got a bunch of goddess buffs on now and I feel like I can push further.

I would say, make use of the blessing to try and push as far as you can, it doesn't hurt to have more options because it can be useful to change your farm place depending on what you want to level (e.g. a map that drops archer fodder if you're levelling an archer).

As for your question, I stuck with 40 sta map for a long time until I could make the jump to the higher end of the asian maps. The later desert maps I feel are not very good because they cost a lot more stamina for barely an increase in fodder level and gold, so I personally didn't bother with them, but if you can't clear asian maps and are running out of money, they're better than nothing.

Luckily the early asian maps should be mostly just a numbers game, so with buffs, I assume you should be able to easily clear the first few if your team was good enough to beat 40 stamina desert without buffs.

Oh, I thought you were already at the 40 stamina desert map before you bought buffs. If you only did it with the buffs, then the asian missions might be pretty tough. I'm doing the 59 stamina one right now, but that's probably out of your reach even with buffs.

From the info on the wiki, I'd say the 45 stamina one isn't worth it, but the 48 stamina one is pretty much a strictly better version of the 51 stamina desert map (same exp, more gold, less charisma cost). So the 48 stamina map, if you can clear it, sounds like a decent spot. Not sure about the 52 stamina one, it has +2 levels, but replaces 1 copper drop with an iron drop, meaning 30 less exp on that one. The 56 stamina map is the first one that gives 3 of the copper units with the universal same-class bonus, so that one might be a nice target to settle, but I doubt you'll be able to make it that far.

Also note that none of the later maps give you more experience per charisma than 40 sta desert, just like one of the best experience per charisma maps is actually one of the very early 12 charisma maps. It's just that the higher missions are much more gold efficient. So if you try to quickly level a low level unit where the cost per combined unit isn't that high, oasis is still a great place to farm.
