And actually, that'd be a damn fine place to get to, if survival is your goal. The outside artifacts that Rinnosuke collects and sells might contain something that would raise survival odds.
Of course, the odds of anyone speaking English are rather low, all things considered. The most likely candidates for that are some of the SDM household (dangerous, though Remilia is definitely fluent at least), the Moriya shrine folk (since they arrived more recently from the outside world), or if you're willing to put up with a frustratingly slow conversation you could write things down for Kosuzu. She'd be poor at responding, though.

He doesn't need to retcon since things could just pop in gensokyo, and a map would be in context of gensokyo chronicles, wich was supposed to be for the sake of humans, so a map telling at least safe places would be fine. Also akyuu could just find an older map drawn by previous generations, so it'd be implied outdated, having just places of that time
