I am such a baka that I pronounce Cirno as "sir no". Back in 2006 when the western Touch fandom was growing there were no videos of how her name was pronounced so that's what I called her. Now that I know her name is pronounced "Cheer ru no" I feel like a baka.

In a uni class, I was talking to a few 2hufags and I slipped up and pronounced her name as "Sirno" out of bad habit. Needless to say, they looked at me weird.

ゐ (wi) and い (i) used to be pronounced differently, as their pronunciation became closer い was used instead of ゐ.
