I was just randomly clicking on the list of translated VNs, and "Wind -a breath of heart-" came up. Is it any good?

>> No.142325

From what I hear, shit sucks.

It's okay... nothing special though.
Speed through the anime and see if you like that. It's only about 16 episodes at 12 minutes each.

From what I heardit's got one amazing route which you have to unlock by going through a ton of crap routes. And it's also pretty fucked up; not Higurashi fucked up, more Myself; Yourself fucked up. (Crap example, but the best thing I could think of off the top of my head.)

>> No.142377

Myself; Yourself was irredeemable shit. I can't believe I watched 13 episodes of that.

>> No.142395

Not brick-shitting, monodimensional characters, repetitive musics, plenty of boring paths, bad porn. Ending somewhat interesting. Somewhat.

Still I liked the whole atmosphere.

I'd compare it with True Remembrance (which everyone should play, that's good shit).

From what I've heard, it's nowhere near as good as the anime; can't say I'm surprised, though, as the anime was pretty damn good. Pissed off that I watched M;Y when this was airing and only downloaded it when I saw the batch torrent.

Anime had Chihiro, Miyako and a bit of Kei paths.

The first part of the game only had Kei and Miyako paths. Since Miyako path was quite average (in term of story), and everybody hate Kei, the whole game is quite boring.

Second part will have Chihiro, Mizuki and motherfucking Yuuko.

When NNL finished their translation efforts, they were real assholes and wanted to prevent piracy, so they set the following rule:

Anyone who wanted the Wind translations must purchase the game from Japan, smash the support disc (which was essentially useless), take a picture of the mess, and email them the picture.

Shitstorm ensured, and afterwards they released the translation into public domain. But the meme shall forever live on.

In the anime her personality is totally non-existent. They only keep their dream look-a-like scenes from the game. Just play the translated first fan disc and compare by yourself the two versions of the church scene, with Hirono.

[14:20] <Message> Bug gp, I like to believe that the meaning, if not read literally in each seperate line, can ultimately still be grasped from the text as a whole. Thus I do not think that the Tsukihime translation will do injustice to the original. It will not be the best translation possible, and things should work out much better in Fate/stay night, but the English Tsukihime will still be very much worth playing.

Kills off Nozomi unless you pick the "right" girl (or your sister, but that's barely worth mentioning).

Kills off Nozomi EVEN IF YOU PICK HER ROUTE WHAT THE HELL.

Characters are out of character terribly during sex. Meek, shy Wakaba asking if I like how she tasted is just...jarring.

even if you play all the routes and get the last route, you end up with the "right" girl damn it damn it if I wanted that girl I'd pick her in the first place damn it--(also the fact that she apparently reincarnates as your daughter is a bit squicky)

The thing on the menu where you can listen to the BGM doesn't even include all the BGM what the fuck what the fuck I WANT MY WAKABA PIANO ARRANGEMENT WEDDING MUSIC, SHIT WAS BEAUTIFUL

Imagine, while you're listening to the ED music, the game shows pictures of a scenic landscape, a beautiful city, the girls living their lives, a darkened hallway, et cetera.

You know, stuff that's really supposed to heighten the drama.

Now, image all this stuff gets shown...with THIS music:
