Just got the opening of the 僕と恋するポンコツアクマ, Overall its kinda good but heroines are craving too much for mc's dick, at least for my tastes. I mean I can understand the brocon one and childhood friend, even the aruru since they know each other for a while but other two just met with the mc 1-2 days ago, and want to suck his dick even though there wasnt even some kind of events between them? It'd be okay if they were some kind of gal or at least had some experience, but those two didn't even see a dick before, let alone touching so it felt pretty awkward for me.

Other than this comedy was kinda good even for someone who doesn't like dirty jokes like me, art and VAs are pretty awesome, heroines are not bad either so its an enjoyable moege so far.

I'm watching a playthrough of the 苺ましまろ　PS2 game on niconico. Did any of you play this? The dialogue is quite funny, pretty close to the manga I would say.
It's quite funny to watch as the game is 全年齢対象 due to being on PS2, but oh boy does it become clear who the actual target audience is.
People also keep bringing up the supposedly very harsh bad ends in the comments, but they're not included in the playthrough and I can't really find any info. Does the guy get arrested or something? I wouldn't be surprised with the shit he keeps pulling off.
So I'd love to play it mysef. Does anyone know if it's possible to get this running on an emulator? I'd be forever indebted to you.

EGS can be pretty retarded sometimes, so not believing that would be wiser choice. Though this game is not a "completely" nukige or moege so you can take it however you want. Yes there are 5 h-scenes at common route but all of them are pretty short + 5 h-scene at 8 hours of reading is definitely too few for a nukige, but having h-scenes at common route might be too lewd for moege so I'm accepting it as a borderline.

Its pretty similar to 聖もんむす学園 if you have read it, Some people will think it as a nukige and some as moege, depend on yourself.

I usually buy my eroge from AmiAmi, but that's probably just because of my buyfag habits. It sounds like you would get a better deal on Softmap, I know when I ordered Aiyoku and Daitoshokan, the total ended up being above $100 including shipping.

Though Daitoshokan ended up being considerably cheaper at the time and I didn't think of why until I noticed that I accidentally bought the fan disk instead and it was too late to change my order.

At least the artbooks and everything were cool.

As a someone who dont care about sakura no uta, its still an awesome month for me. I'll definitely try Royal Garden, Sorairo Innocent, Sukitte Itte, Eiyuutan 3, Primal Hearts 2.

Also there are Chuuni Hime, Unlucky ReBirth, New lump of sugar game and Amanosora which I might try if I have time. I guess I'll download more games than I downloaded in entire 2015 so far.

Scenario feels like a cheap copy of other better 対魔忍 games. Also, the scenario volume seemed shorter. A feel scenes with scat or other disturbing things, but as a comparison to other VNs it is pretty tame. Fapability is not very high.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you really like 調教.

I'd very much prefer to go without one since the game is usually more interesting when you don't actually know where your choices lead the story. However some games like Magical Charming, Caucasus, Steins;Gate or Mikan are just unfairly hard and force you to repeat the same shit over and over again in hunt for flags which usually kills the pacing. Even worse if there's a limited amount of save slots.

I'd love to play something akin to F/SN or Nakazawa's sci-fi games again. Plenty of choices that actually matter and if you fuck up there's an optional hint corner or the game makes it somewhat clear where you possibly fucked up.

Maybe you're using a bad BIOS.
I use PCSX2 1.2.1 (r5875) with the "SCPH-70000_BIOS_V12_JAP_200_(NTSC)" BIOS (Japan v02.00(14/06/2004)). It's the only one that really worked for me with this game.
Other than that, I had to set Clamping Mode to "Extra + Preserve Sign" to get rid of some errors on boot.
Also had some problems with choppy sound. I enabled all the game fixes and that somehow did the trick. No idea which one I needed in particular.

Sometimes the game seems to get stuck after booting up, but "Reboot CDVD (fast)" when that happens seems to fix it.

The classic type, where the heroine actually goes dere for the MC. There is something heartwarming about directing that force from aggression to love, and it ends up being fairly strong and sweet.

The thing is many people equate tsundere with the modern, always-tsun and never honest with herself even when they start going out. I feel this type is just annoying and doesn't really feel it captures the essence of moving from tsun to dere (so it really shouldn't be tsundere), but to each their own.

As long as you're not a complete beginner and read at least a couple of VNs you have no excuse not even trying to read without it.
Anyway, Uta2 doesn't look too hard so far. 90%+ of the lines are spoken, even the protagonist's thoughts are voiced. There were a couple things I had to look up, but handwriting+jisho or just looking up the sounds by hearing it spoken works for that. And the some of the rare words have furigana.

I've been reading VNs in japanese for a while now and, while I understand most of it, there's still a lot of the less common words that I have to use a dictionary for. Is it possible to progress past this stage by simply reading, or will it require additional study?

Not that guy, but I find it much harder to connect with the characters when reading a book. They are all hazy, like a shapeless blob floating in my mind. I have a bit of a mental image of them, but since all you have is a list of adjectives from their introductions, it's hard to imagine how they would look like or sound.
In a VN you have a character sprite and a voice, which gives them a much stronger individuality. Especially the voice, because in a book even if they describe how they speak, seeing something like "yells in a strained voice" written down is much different than actually hearing the VA yell into your ears.
