Perfect Cherry Blossom (東方妖々夢, romanized Touhou Youyoumu, meaning Bewitching Dream) is a challenging vertical-scrolling shooter, and is the seventh offical game of the Touhou series. It is arguably the most well known game of the Touhou series.

Reimu has two factors that make her strong:

Actually there's something that's canon from Silent Sinner in Blue. Reimu explains to Marisa how Shrine Gods work and how their power multiplies and is divided. She added that their might can be endless, meaning Reimu has access to an endless spiritual power source.

That means her power is based on the power of the god who's power she summons.

She can technically only train dodging and throughing cards, though she is training summoning gods in SSiB.

A shrine maiden of Hakurei Shrine. Talented, but lacks training. Basically, she doesn't like having to train. They say she has fought plenty of magicians, evil spirits, youkai and even gods with her strong spiritual power (for no particular reason).
She's always involved in some strange affairs, though she seems to be dragged into most of them due to Marisa. Reimu pretends not to notice this. She sees Marisa as essentially a hopeless case.

By and large, the best assesement of Reimu's (and Marisa's) capacity is IN, where they both urn up as stage 4 bosses, this being with spellcard rules included. Knock off a stage for that perhaps for a mroe "neutral" guess?

The Great Hakurei Boundary is only 124 years old; it was established in 1884CE. Yuyuko is "at least 1000 years" dead and Yukari is "about 1200 years" old. They were around and BFFs at the time.

However, TouhouWiki has a slight timeline deficiency. They list 2007CE synonymous with Gensokyo year 122 (which would date the Border to 1886CE). 1884-1886 is the approximate construction time of the Great Border, therefore.
