If this is final kill, bring 2 stronger BBs. Say Kongou or Nagato class with AP shell. 3 CA(V) with sanshiki, Kaga full greens and go south yasen route if north doesn't work. It'll take several tries to get to the boss without taiha but when you get there, you'll win most of the time.

If it's prefinal kill, go 3 CA and 3 CV north. This depends on the quality of your planes naturally.

When they said to bring all the BB(V)/CA(V) you have, I'm pretty sure what they have in mind is Fusou class kai ni and Tone class kai ni.

First time doing 5-5. A lot of people were saying that now with 4,5 or even 6 CV 5-5 is easy even without support so i decided to try it. I know it was maybe a troll but i tried 4CV 2BB with both support, everyone sparkled. With this comp, it took me 14 runs (6 taiha Re elite, 2 troll comp, 1 random Wo kai crit, 5 kills) and 14k/14k/9k/5k res 30 buckets.
I am a faggot who believe in the voodoo fit gun/accuracy even if it's not a combined fleet. That's why i use 35.6 and 381mm, i use 21 Zero skilled on the low planes slots because +25 fp and 2 accuracy/evasion for 2 or 3 fp is a good trade and i have only 2 Reppu. I got AS+ on every nodes except the boss one which is strange because D node Wo kai is 513 fp and mine was theoretically ~490 with chevrons.
Is it good compared to before the plane update? What can i do to improve this next month? I know i can use Taihou and Shoukaku Kai Ni but i don't have them yet (blueprint next month for Shoukaku). I can improve planes for both support if i farm a lot of Souryuu/Hiryuu/radars or wait for a good event.
Overall it's not that bad, Re elite is a deadly bitch but the boss is a joke even with 3 CV chuuha.

I'd say Myoukou shouldn't be using a cut-in but otherwise it's very similar to 1CL5DD. A bit more expensive but also a bit bulkier and stronger. The chance of killing the sub is slightly smaller though. Overall it's a good comp if girls are sparkled.
