Two weeks ago, I opted to skip straight to E-8 instead of attempting E-7, citing 'preserving my sanity' as a reason, but now my sanity is tormented even more by how I abandoned Teruzuki. Now I don't even have the resources for E-7 kuso mode because I wanted to 'take it easy' instead of running more expeditions. I tried to reassure myself I did the right thing, that it was just a game not worth the stress, but as the event comes to a close, there is nothing but regret and hate at my own cowardice.

I got Roma, Kazagumo, Umikaze, etc. but none of it matters.

I've already burned more than 20k fuel and 200 buckets on kuso mode just for this fucking last dance, and I can't even chip the damn thing anymore.

Which makes me think if I should really use Akitsumaru or just use STF stuffed with FBBs?

I feel like my fleet is missing firepower because every time I get to the boss node my fleet suddenly decides to do the greatest choke of their lives and receive multiple crits from the boss.

RNG also gets merciless and decides to get my ships OHKO even if fully sparkled.

I tried CTF but it just ends up with the yasen fleet being able to do nothing since they're taiha'd by the time I even attempt.

Damn it, I don't want to give up, but 7k fuel left after trying to kill the damn thing it seems my chances are low.

E-5 is really relaxing to run. It's not combined fleet and you get two resource nodes which help you stock up on construction materials. You will S rank the boss 90% of the time.

I got Roma in about 30 runs on Easy, so if you're on Hard you will be able to get her even faster, I'm guessing 15 runs.

I'm unprepared for E7 after reading and seeing the stockpiles some of you had. I gave it my best trying to reach boss, but out of 5 runs I still got sent back from M 4 times with supports running. Blew away what I thought was enough resources to clear, also my only highest level being 50 is probably not optimal for clearing events yet.

I went into it only expecting to reach E2 from asking day one of the event, never expected to make it all the way to E7 so kinda surprised I got here. At least I got to see how tough the game can get. I'll miss you Teruteru ;_;

Myoukou's position as the 2nd CA cutin is cemented anyway. The only other CAs anyone would consider are Choukai and Haguro and their luck requires a lot of work. All that maruyu would be better going towards making Abukuma's cutin setup not a complete crapshop. Prinz hits the yasen cap anyway with 2x quint 1x red so there's really no reason to boost any others. Having prinz is a huge boon to your fleet.

1) Opening torpedo alone puts her far above everyone.
2) She's #2 CL when it comes to yasen power, mere six points behind old and busted Jintsuu.
3) She's the only CL who can carry daihatsu which is insanely important for getting resources.
4) She comes with the very rare daihatsu on top of that and unlike Akitsu Maru, even one piece is profitable on her.
5) She's top Maruyu target due to being the best CL with somewhat decent base luck.
6) She has by far the best synergy with torp cut-in out of all ships in the game:
a) having two Quints boosts her opening and closing torpedo significantly, Quints also give more yasen power than guns;
b) out of four battle stages she participates in, torp cut-in makes her much stronger in three of them;
c) including the most important one, while weakening her only in the least important one;
d) another important aspect is that with torp cut-in her range is short so it's impossible for her to shoot before your CAs, making their turns more important.

I have to call it quits on E-8. After 52 boss nodes on E-3 and 54 on E-5, I no longer have enough resources to support any more tries. Failed to get Mizuho or Roma, but I did manage to score Isokaze, 2 Urakaze, Akigumo, 2 Tanikaze, Ooyodo, and Unryuu overall. Isn't that great of a haul in the end, but at least I saved Teruzuki.

As an aside, how do you minimize bauxite losses on E-3? Tsu kept shredding my veterans every run and it cost nearly 700 bauxite to replace them each time.

Let's me ask you guys one serious question. Is there even a point of this game anymore. I get that everyone (including me) started playing this because of the cute shipgirls but the gameplay just makes it more and more frustrating.

I've cleared all maps this event on Hard. What really drove me through this till the end, however, is just pure bitterness. A feeling akin to that of a gambler. I feel like only luck matters anymore. You all need to get a few things straightened out. First of all the battleship wall on E5 winter didn't have Ru kais. It had regular flagship Ru and Ta. That's a fucking hell of a difference. Second of all, you ran suijou butai. Half the bullshit with E7 summer is the fact that your escort fleet often gets destroyed by the time it's yasen time with antizuki. Winter with its suijou butai, hotels and torpedo sluts made killing the dysons a fuck tonne easier. CV Oni? The new glowing tako wo could taiha hotels just as easily (both hit daytime cap) and you had to face two of the fucking cunts.

Of course. I had it happening one time after another. 48 is only assumption, it might still be 36. Anyway, disabling Wo Kai doesn't happen all the time but often enough to consider it. As it was mentioned before, route support was far less effective during Winter because the threats you met on the way had way more HP. Route support trivializes the route on E7. On E5 route support was just a minor help.
Opening torps of Kita Ooi only scratched CL Oni, CV Oni or Ru Kai. Killing Ru flag with a torp is also much harder than killing a DD.

However there were times when one was chuuha'd before getting the chance to see if it had any tako left. Also, even if they weren't disabled, they always died to one APCI or DA of my Nagatos so even in the unlucky scenario both Wo Kais weren't chuuha'd, I had 50% chance of them not doing anything before dying.
