How do the newhus stack up against previous Touhou bosses in terms of power?
In my opinion, the first two aren't that powerful and Doremy is only strong in the dreamworld.
Sagume, however, has a
bullshit OP power.
Clownpiece and Junko's power are nothing special, but their danmaku is still brutal.
I'm not quite sure about Hecatia. If she really IS the goddess Hecate, she would be one of the strongest 2hu to ever exist.

Sagume is a reality warper, however she isn't up there with Yukari since her power isn't instantaneous and strong enough to handle Junko's gang or killing off Gensokyo.

Hecatia isn't Hecate, just based on. She's higher up in the society of new hell, enough to have an army of hell fairies to do her bidding. Other than that, I doubt she's stronger than our resident judge, on par maybe.

I like how ZUN still works hard to make the danmaku reflect the character's personality. Junko's simple danmaku fits her lack of identity, which is a complete contrast to the immediately prior boss's bombastic stars and lasers danmaku.

Her ability is pretty much "ability to not have things go her way". It's not like she can say "I'm not omnipotent" and go all-powerful, it's actually a really shitty ability. More like a curse, really.

It would also be cool if she made herself the enemy of everything and ascended into godhood by getting Houyi to shoot the sun, since that's more or less what Ame-no-sagu-me does in the myth (the heavenly gods send a pheasant as a messenger to the earthly gods, Sagume thinks its cry sounds bad so she orders it to be shot).
