I hope in the future humans find and colonize a planet where it's always raining everywhere. I wonder what it would be like. Very muddy, obviously.

Thank you for these posts. I didn't know about it until I read this. Although half of it was already over by the time I got outside, I saw about 20 meteors over a period of 30 minutes. One was really bright and left a trail in the sky for about 4 seconds. I hadn't even seen a shooting star before until today so it was really cool.

First time I saw one was this month.
I'm happy you saw so many. I might have seen more than 3, but I didn't count them, since they go by so fast I keep saying "they're illusory, I'm just seeing things"

I just wish I had read the news and known earlier. I know a mountain peak you can drive up to and a big cliff overlooking a large river valley that are within a reasonable distance and are far away from town that would have been perfect for viewing the shower. There was a little peninsula that jut into the middle of a lake just down the road I was able to go to though. I was even able to very faintly see the northern lights. It felt pretty magical.

I've never actually seen the colorful greenish lights you see often in videos and images. Just a dim whitish almost cloud-looking thing that spans the sky. Still pretty cool, though.
