So, /jp/ , Before i head to university (you yanks call it "College", i believe) i'm taking a gap year. I hope to go to Japan and teach english for about 8 monthes or so. Does anyone here have any helpful advice/tips?

Those kind of gap years are often fully funded by the charity. Then again food and accommodation in some african country for a year would cost less than the plane tickets. So if you actually wanted to do something like that and asked around some charities they would likely take you if you have good grades.

Universities in the UK accept 1 year differed entry applications so you can go on a gap year and your place is ready for you when you get back.
