Hey /jp/. I'm a filthy gaijin otaku like most of you and just got accepted to teach English at an ECC school in Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan. I was wondering if anyone here has experience teaching English in Japan and if they could share some experiences they have had while teaching.

Don't know the specifics of where in Japan he was teaching English. He was in his mid twenties and moved to Japan with his fiancée for a few years from Canada. He said he needed to be extremely careful around a few of the girls he was teaching because apparently they could be extremely flirtatious to the point of making him nervous. It was important that he show his engagement ring in plain view and to tell some of the more persistant girls that he was indeed involved in a relationship. Once this understanding was established, everything was fine. Generally this is all that was needed for them to stop.

I love Japanese culture with a huge passion too. I love everything from Japan, the lifestyle, the music, obviously the anime, the people, the language, the food, and all the other things about Japan there are to love. Eventually, I'll probably be moving to Japan. In fact, living in Japan is actually one of my biggest dreams. I can't wait to go.
