Cases where people can't report and thus stop child abuse by presenting imagery of it as evidence is a serious problem. Not saying we should legalize it, but I'm not sure if our laws on it are doing more good than harm.

I thought it was basically okay all over the United States, but they'll throw it in as another charge if they find out you have 'real' CP. Like, I thought just about every case in the US where the charges went through ended up with the defendant actually owning the IRL shit too.
