What does anon use to tag his images?

>> No.1366769

>>1366754
I don't tag my images since I don't have 30,000 of random images in one folder, but it was just a suggestion.

1.) set up a database with two tables: table 1: id, filename. 2: file_id, tag
2.) write a small script to insert each file in that folder into table 1.
3.) write a quick web interface for going through all untagged images in table 1, presenting them in the browser with a field to enter tags, and a button to move to the next one. Possibly add buttons with common tags to auto-insert into the text field.
4.) spend all your free time tagging. fuck folders.

now that i think about it, you don't really even need two tables. just the tags table with columns for filename and another for tag.

the benefit of going with two tables is you could, for example, have your web sytem auto-move the files into subdirectories (to reduce single-directory file count).

Hurray!

Nah. You won't need to sort into folders - you can now search your database for tags and instantly get all matching images
