While we're on the subject, where does /jp/ go to learn about new artists/download j-pop? I have a fairly small library and I'd like to get musically cultured here.

google for the jpopsuki tracker. this tracker has uploaders for the newest releases and whatnot. you could probably ask for some recommendations on their forums (never did this, so i can't tell you how that is).

jpopsuki tracker is not bad, I've had an account there since 2005-ish, but I wouldn't use it exclusively, and there's a lot of C-pop and K-pop you have to wade through too

If it's Perfume you like, it's easy to find new artists that are similar due to the Shibuya-Kei explosion.

Marino, Saori@destiny, Aira Mitsuki, Hazel Nuts Chocolate are a few good ones. On contemode fansites you'll see people talking about the newest artists like these.
