Because touhouwiki was never as shitty as kancollewiki. Kancollewiki is even harder to navigate than wikia, less updated and has even more misinformation than wikia. In it's current state it doesn't deserve to be in the OP.

>The thread linked was the FOURTH kancolle thread made. We already had 3 others to use before it.
This is the endgame of some long and stupid game that's being played. /kcg/fag used to make one thread and people would use the other, at which point he would throw a shitfit about the fact that there were two threads. But two threads weren't too many, so what he'd do is he'd make two threads and then complain when people made a third one. In general, the "community" makes one thread, posts in that thread until it's pretty much the last thread on the board, then makes the new one. This is how it was until the spammer started uprooting everything.

Perhaps someone here should take the liberty to remind everyone about Touhouwiki and it's past.

Ironically enough Touhou wiki was a wiki, and then it was moved to the wikia after the original host died. But then got later moved off the wikia onto a brand new wiki.

Despite the fact that it was moved off from there there was a bit of a battle to convince people to use the new wiki. Especially on 4chan at the time. It took a lot of work, but eventually after about a year or two, people stopped using the wikia almost all together and moved to the wiki that we now know as Touhouwiki.

Kancollewiki is pretty much following in the footsteps of the Touhouwiki to some degree. It is also relatively new, so it'll take time to grow, but still when you think about it, haven't lots of wikis that were once part of wikia ultimately moved off of the wikia? It's been proven in cases before that wikia pretty much doesn't give complete freedom to it's users and has been ultimately proven before that it thrives off it's users to make profit for itself?

If memory servers correctly, the only reason the kancolle wikia was made in the first place (from someone here on 4chan) was simply because they didn't have the income to make thier own wiki to host Kancolle and resorted to the wikia. And they even claimed in the end that this was a mistake.

To me we now have someone that's actually trying to make a wiki for the exact purpose that it was originally intended. So while some may see if as one thing, perhaps it might also be a chance for people to build a wiki free from the bounds that is the wikia.

I personally say perhaps contributing to it might not be a bad idea.

>> No.13599124

>>13599117
The Kancolle wikia was literally started by a /jp/ user who intended for it to be a translation of wikiwiki, who I hope regrets his decision to this day.

But that aside the only reason anybody uses a wikia is because 1. somebody wants a wiki and 2. that someone is not a sysadmin. It's not very difficult. Every franchise under the sun has one.

Judging from all these threads and opinions the "community" doesn't seem to be as united as you think it is.

>This is how it was until the spammer started uprooting everything.
That's simply not true. We never had to wait to have a new thread until we were on the last page. This is a very recent development propagated by touhoufags, shitposters or even the spammer himself.

Think about it and you will understand why it doesn't make any sense. There are a lot of russian VNs and translations, but trying to use EOP as an insult against them sounds ridiculous.

But that's false, unless you brand everyone who disagrees with being kcgfag, which would be a tragic case of paranoia and racism. It was by no means unanimous. It couldn't even be such in the first place since there are too many TTKs.

sparkling doesn't affect item drop rate of the left item (only the right item)

Will the 100 base boat limit ever increase?

They want you to pay for slots. It's a good incentive for them to continue releasing updates. 100 is enough to play the game without keeping your favorite boats and only focusing on the meta. They do occasionally increase the maximum amount of slots you can buy to keep up with the updates. (I think a recent patch went 240 → 260)

250, not 240.

Shit I meant "250, not 260".

Guys,
I unlocked 5-4 yesterday.
In 6 days time we get a new CA Kai Ni and I read on multiple occasions that 5-4 is superior to 3-2-A leveling for CAs (which has some grounding since it has 100 more base exp per node). If so, what comp should I use?

Just use 4 CA 2 CV at 3-3.

3-3-A's not as resource friendly as 3-2-A though, especially with 2 CVs. Then again, you do level more ships at once.

Just go all the way. And farm furniture box while you're at it.

if I go all the way chances are stupidly high my ships will get spun southwards and destroyed by the pre-boss.

Preboss is easy shit. You don't need saiun for it.

Also you don't need to bucket yellow unless it's dangerously close to orange.

>preboss is easy shit
For me it isn't. 1CA1BB2CLT2CV during the mochi-quest, the preboss most of the time destroyed my BB and/or one of my CVs even though I had air superiority.

also I'm aware how basic principles of bucket saving work, thank you very much.

Not him, but there's also the fact that you can't spam 3-3 all the time, sooner or later you need to swap ships or let them rest, 3-2-A can be grinding to infinity and back without a break.

>> No.13606582

I level my boats on quests alone.
