If Sato-kun lives by himself, and goes outside most nights, why does he claim to be a hikki?

>> No.1357182

A hikikomori by definition is someone suffering from social withdrawal, who spends a majority of his/her time inside. Leaving the house once in a while - in this case, walking to a nearby, practically empty park for a smoke - does not change his status as a social recluse, a hikikomori.

>> No.1357190

Most hikkikomori go outside occasionally, that's how they get food and shit.

They just only stay in certain abandoned areas that they know well, and only do it in the dead of night.

The Japanese government would beg to differ, but their definition is probably more exclusive than it could be in order to make it seem like a less severe problem for their country than it may actually be.

This topic is set up by the NHK to confuse us about the meaning of 'hikikomori' so we will not recognize it when we become them ourselves...
SERIOUSLY! I'VE SEEN IT ALL! IT'S A CONSPIRACY! A CONSPIRACY!!
