It'd be like learning to drive a car by crashing a bunch of cars with ejector seats until you get the hang of it instead of driving around in a parking lot. What bothers me is not really the difficulty of the boss (you have checkpoints so it's not hard at all).

But her design... WTF.
What's wrong with these weird gobelin ears so small and rachitic and the jew nose doesn't help...

Even the clothing styles and the powers are so weird...

I really love the 1st boss but this one is just weird.

I don't mind ZUN's crude art and actually found it quite charming in EoSD. But for this game thats like 13 years later in the franchise its kind of sad it hasn't really much improved at all, and honestly that'd be forgivable but some of these designs are just so off too. It feels like he didn't really have any ideas about what to make them look like other than he's writing a story about the moon and thats the extent of his artistic focus.

Well, that's kinda strange, but if her hears are actually in this position I guess it's acceptable, just weirdly drawn.

If it's not the case, then those aren't even rabbit ears but 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐭 ears. And that's gross.

I never saw ears others than long ears like Reisen (about 2-3x the size of the head when unfolded straight), or fat, short and fluffy ears like Tewi and others.
I guess if her hears are like Reisen then I'm okay with this, even if it looks really weird on the drawing.

Oh and for the clothes, to me, excepted the beret, the rest look more oriental, like middle-east style...

I think the art is pretty good. Also, there are bunnies with floppy ears like those.
What bothers me though, is how she got to pierce that ball so far with her right hand when her left hand is clearly full of balls. Looks really complicated to do without them falling from your hands or being smashed.

Maybe she's an undercover goat youkai infiltrating the moon rabbits. She volunteered as a spy because the moonspiders' "will eat absolutely everything" gimmick interferes with her own existence as a youkai, so she wants them gone.

She'll reveal her identity in her extra midboss appearance and have a fanon rivalry going with Yoshika over who could eat more.

You only improve at something if you do it constantly. ZUN doesn't draw literally every day and only does it so he can get the games out. Of course he hasn't improved much. If he buckled down and drew every day for a couple of years he'd actually get good.
