You know what I always think when I see this stuff? Not fair. I'm well aware that most kigs are dudes, but look at them. In most cases these guys are really, really effeminate. Seriously, how do guys get bodies like that? It's not fair. I'm sure there is a couple people from the last thread here that read me talking about my mask construction.

Sorry about the pics, all I had was my cell phone.

Picture shows step 1 of making a unique direct fitment mask, the mask will be kig, but the sculptor will pour plaster into the formed mold to produce a plaster copy of my face.

Step 2 involves taking plaster strips and place them over the rubber compound mask, this allows you to remove the rubber mask without tearing it.

So far that's what was accomplished over last night. I will be letting my sculptor barrow my digital camera so he can take progress pics, I'm sure kig /jp/ is interested.

Sorry to disagree with you, but I disagree with you. that's exactly how a costume/dress-up fetish goes most of the time. You've probably never seen guys with crossdressing or "sissy" fetishes, but if you have you may wonder why in the hell they would take pictures of themselves like that. And they pose, and they shoot, and they snap dozens of photos, and they revel in it all. Add a full body costume, plus a mask which adds the element of anonymity, and they guys are free to be whoever they want. to them, being photographed is part of the high they feel from doing this.

Now, I can see those ideas being applicable to some dollers, but in my experience, all the ones i've talked to, japanese and otherwise, simply enjoy the art of costuming. there's exceptions yeah, but ask any one of them if it's a personal fetish and you'll usually get a "no". AND, the "viewers" who DO have a fetish for it (which is a hundred times more common) tend to have a thing for the zentai (second skin) and transformation aspect of the deal.

but that's just what i've noticed in the general community.

Furry requires FUR. Kigurumi is not JUST human masks. Kigurumi is actually in it's very roots a FRP animal mask. Animegao is a subset of Kigurumi that has the human masks.

Fursuits are ENTIRELY made from fur. That is a kigurumi mask with spandex suit. If anything it is more kigurumi than the human masks you're all fapping to.

I've wondered that same thing myself. I've been wanting to achieve a more feminine body, and I asked that question in /fit/ a few months back. This was the response I got. Hopefully this helps.

Two questions, fellow anons.

I'm willing to become a Kigurumi myself. I think my body could easily pass as feminine because I'm really skinny (185cm and 65kg, go figure). Fake breasts and some extra clothing near the booty would probably do the job. However, there's one thing bothering me. Even though I have no muscles whatsoever, my shoulders are awfully broad. Is there any way to make them stand out less?

And the second question; I realize I'd need to buy a body suit, but what about the wig? Do I have to also shell out like 60$ on a custom-made one? Is there a place where I can purchase, say, some violet hair and make my own wig?

Also, $60 and the cost of a wig over making one yourself is nothing compared to actual cost of the mask. If you're going to shell out the money to buy (or make) a kig mask, then an extra $100 at most is not going to be much.

I normally sit back and just read these threads to keep tabs on you all. Though I keep on seeing the vocabulary used here to be horribly off. The kigurumi you post here is NOT Animegao, as a matter of fact I am hard pressed to find any sources in Japanese that refer to this as Animegao.

The only thing I have found to date that refers to this as Anigao is that one maid-for-hire in Akihabara who does this. I have seen this referred to as Bishoujo Kigurumi.

As for what does Kigurumi actually mean. At the simple level, its a full-body character costume. What are my sources? 11 years of experience in this scene both English and Japnaese.
