I'm trying to figure out Sukuna's moveset but i'm lost. For example, her default dial A sends the enemy to the other side of the screen but the only ranged move you can follow up with is 6B, which doesn't even connect sometimes. I gueeeeeess if you do it in the corner with your back against the wall you can follow up with another combo? Also the only real use that I found for her 6C is as a hitconfirm for the miracle mallet spell.

I can explain for Buddhism. It does not recognize a soul and any "thing" that is eternal, unchanging and that has self. Everything that is conditioned -bound to samsara (everything that exists) must cease one day and cannot be eternal. Within this it's impossible for true immortality to exist; even if it's in the very far future Kaguya and Mokou must have expiry dates (ie. like Tenshi), if this is not the case the fundamental teaching of Buddhism about dukkha has no meaning because it would be possible to be unaffected by it while existing (via the security of true immortality). Everything about cutting attachments, seeing reality, understanding emptiness etc. will follow because there's no need for those if you can stay within existence as you are forever, the karmic imprint of the person will also possibly disappear. The whole philosophy really becomes meaningless with true immortality.

I don't know Shinto in detail, but I think physical existences can't be eternal in it either. Pre-'State Shinto' Shinto was not a codified religion but rather a set of beliefs and explanations on how nature and the universe works, in which the kami play a central role. As such it historically it didn't have much of a problem in getting mixed with Buddhism and most of it is not contradictory; it's easy to consider the Shinto concept of soul as "spirit", the energy powering up the current body that dissipates soon after death after passing on the torch to another form of existence, and kami can easily be considered as being part of different types of deva (celestials), mostly lower ones as opposed those like Tenshi. Historically one of the problems that arose in Japan was the concept of "becoming Buddha" after death, which arose due to a misunderstanding of what a Buddha exactly is, but I believe that was rectified at some point in history. So I don't think there's a problem with both being true. Parts of Shinto mythology as opposed to beliefs might be problematic though.

I think immortality through Hourai Elixir does not necessarily conflict with Buddhism.

It's something like equivalent exchange, if the life of immortal never ceases, then they will never be able to escape their sufferings and desires, which is not the case for most beings since everyone has a chance to ascend to Buddhahood.

That probably means something like Kaguya and Mokou will never be free of their life until the very last being achieves Enlightenment and enters Nirvana.

I'm not an expert though, but this is probably one possible explaination.

It's a possibility that I considered, but I'm not fully convinced by it because it's easy to reduce suffering in an extreme degree by finding security in permanence and that true immortality in itself contradicts the 3 Marks of Existence. There's much less conflict however if the Hourai'd body can be eventually destroyed when existence as we know it is destroyed- which is the death of the universe science predicts. Buddhism too talks about entire universes (and part of the lower and higher realms themselves) being created and destroyed by going through cycles of expansion and contraction, during which beings progressively get reborn in their current states inside the newly appearing universe. At that point, the concept of eternity itself perhaps stops working, and Mokou and Kaguya can finally actually die. If not, logically they should find themselves stuck inside the smallest possible point to which the universe will contract to, if such a point can even be said to exist, something like Kars stopping thinking and effectively actually dying in spirit.
Of course psychological "death" is also a possibility. Even if one finds security in permanence, it doesn't necessarily mean that they will actually keep it forever and can eventually go mad, in which case a terrible future would eventually await the two Elixir drinkers.

Thinking about the 2 worse possible outcomes possible and supposing true immortality has actually been achieved, it makes you wonder how could Eirin do this to Kaguya in the first place. If there's no misunderstanding in Mokou's ULiL dialogue, it seems that Mokou wants to relinquish her immortality now.

I haven't played ULiL since the trial months back, but did zun change made big changes fighting mechanics? It seems like there is less combos now and I can't find the card editor anymore from HM (was it even in the trial?).
