/jp/, I'm in need of your expertise and advice. I'm about to buy my first daki, which has the traditional dimensions of 20x60". I found an affordable pillow from an ebay store that's sold hundreds of these in said dimensions and it was only one state away with free shipping, so I gave it go.

The pillow is here now and after taking a tape measure, rather than 20X60, it seems as if it's more like 18-57". Do you think this will this be an issue, or are the pillow cases the same way? It is going to be wrapping around this after all. I plan on getting the 2-way tricot, which is supposed to be more elastic, right?

Take care of your Daki, bootleg or not. My legit ryuko/satsuki gets damn dirty, not from beating off on it, but just sleeping on it and all the dead skin cells sticking to it.

Also, legit or bootleg, does't matter. The side stitching comes loose very easy. I hope you know how to sew.

Current cover standard size is 50x160 cm. Yes, 2way is stretchable in both directions, so actual cover size is usually 2-3 cm less to allow a tight and smooth fit on the pillow body.
The inner pillow on the other hand should be as close to 50x160 as possible, the sizes you posted are more 46x145, which is kinda small and would risk leaving the cover a bit floppy.

On a side note, cover size is meant to be measured when lying down flat. So you need to measure the inner pillow by its circumference (and then divide by 2), not straight edge-to-edge.

I'm looking at the Ran one. It's honestly not the best looking of the bunch, but it's probably the best looking one of Ran out there that also happens to be readily available.. Her legs are rather thin compared to the what I assume are the newer ones, the art style isn't quite as cute, and the poses aren't very interesting, but Ran is my favorite so I think this is my best option since there's no way I'm forking out the cash for a custom.

My dream daki would be a non lewd post on the front as normal, and the back would be NOTHING but fluffy tails. I wish Deartmybrothers or Mumumu would design one. That'd be the life~

I like this design a lot, but for some reason he chose to add her covered in "syrup" which honestly looks like piss.
