I'm wrapping up the couple of routes I wanted to read from oppai explorers (Saori and Mishio), they've been really cute.
I didn't really care for either Manami or Fuuka and I've not read a single good thing about Kotoha's route, so when I finish Saori I'm done.
I enjoyed it quite a bit.

My only complaint about PrettyxCation 2 so far more has to do with the Akabei's gaijin block.
I finally have a normie phone and decided to dig it out try and use the QR Code for one of the Lovely Shots or whatever they're called only to get gajin blocked.
Which lead to wasting about 20 minutes between downloading something to read it and eventually e-mailing the link to myself so I could access it with a proxy later.

This is really irritating me. how everything seems to run correctly but when E-mote kicks in it reduces to something like 20-30fps.
I don't think I have that much of an outdated PC either. (2GB GTX 660M / 3rd gen i7 @ 2.4GHz)

I'll have to assume it was just developed that way if everyone else is having similar performance. And hope for a patch from Hibiki.

Ever notice how two characters are never on screen at the same time, even when they're speaking to each other?

My processor is pretty good I think, can play modern games but I can't be bothered with the specs right now, but I at the very least can assure you emote gives me a noticeable FPS drop. Not a bad one, but it's definitely there.

I want a game just for Reifa, looking really forward for the Go part. Also I know that they couldn't add every character for a low priced game like this, but I'd give up almost every heroine for Yue. I guess I'll have to wait until remake for her.

I wanted to play a Memories Off game and since I'm playing on PS Vita these days I got Memories Off #6 Complete.
Currently on T-Wave, playing my first route just entered Ririsu's route.
So far, it's not bad but pretty generic triangle love story.

What should I expect from there on?
Also should I have gotten Yubikiri no Kioku instead?

So yeah I finished Aya's route and well what the actual fuck happened at the end?

Akira was possesing Ayas so Hatsuyuki satbs her, to get rid of him,then says there is another ghost,him. Then stabs her again, for some reason. They then have their moment and she turns up for graduation all fine but doesn't remember a thing.

Please I'm so confused.

So I finished Looking Glass Insects, and Kimika is still amazingly awesome, in fact she might be one of my favourite characters ever after her route. But I did notice it never explained what happened to Kimika in the 'canon' route when she was being attacked by Shiroyama et al. Well, I know she's still alive but I can't think the 'red ink' Zakuro was cleaning up the next day was a coincidence.

Among other things, I have no idea why people call Subahibi a denpa game or mindfuck, nothing in it so far has been particularly mind screwy. Confusing yes, but nothing ridiculously out there

Madness and Denpa are two separate things. In eroge, the vndb tag description for denpa pretty much sums it up. It's not a direct form of horror, but a strangeness and nonsensical behavior that can seem creepy. Looking at the list of tagged denpa games can help get a better understanding.
I think "denpa" music has messed up people perception of what denpa means, as a lot of these so-called denpa songs are basically just moe pop.

The most "denpa" part of subahibi would have to be the first chapter or two where even though typical slice of life events are occurring, there is still a looming strangeness especially from Zakuro, and to a lesser extent Ayana throughout the game.

I read that game a while ago and was pretty underwhelmed with it. The best way to describe it would be a horror movie without the horror; it just felt stale and lifeless. None of the characters were interesting, the story wasn't particularly great, and they never built up on the kind of unsettling horror atmosphere that they seemed to be aiming for. It would be closer to call it a moege with a slightly darker tone and tragic pasts for everyone.

The art and scenes were good, but outside of that I wouldn't really recommend it. Also that little sister was probably the most annoying character I've read in a while.

Same here, I'll admit the knowledge that I'll get an H scene down the road makes me want to keep reading if it's a character I really like. It's when the game throws too many of them at me at once with very little content between them that I lose the motivation to keep reading, or literally just fall asleep.

I like it when you actually have to think about choices, especially in titles with tons of bad ends like F/SN or Nakazawa's sci-fi games. Makes for a much more exciting reading when you actually don't know whether the characters are going to survive.

It's all about how they're handled and whether they're as awful as getting all the flags in Steins;Gate, Caucasus, Magical Charming and Mikan for certain endings (especially with limited save slots and broken skip), or the math problem at the end of Muramasa. Stuff like that kills pacing completely.

If the game is doing it right the choices should lead to unique heroine scenes in the common route that start to develop the heroine and protagonist's relationship, so that when you enter a route it feels like there's an actual reason the protagonist started getting close to the heroine and it wasn't just an arbitrary choice.

That said, I appreciate joke choices, minor choices, and pointless choices too. The more choices the better. Choices are one of the unique things about eroge so writers should use them. I've never played a game where I felt there were too many choices.

The image on my post is the status on a regularly zoomed E-mote scene. I'm stretching my CPU's normal 2.6GHz to 3.2 and it runs "okay" but definite lag if you try to pop up the menu, for example. The motion is not as fluid as in the videos they have in their youtube channel either. This is a laptop (M) processor but still... I'm also running a few programs in the background anyways but it shouldn't spike so badly.

Overall I think it's probably that they don't have experienced programmers on their team. To begin with, they're using a build of KAG3/Kirikiri2 so they probably just know the basics for scripting it together, and then they're probably tying up E-mote via a plugin and didn't even know how to make stuff use the GPU. I haven't played around with krkr myself much but I would assume it's capable of at least that.

I'll still hope for a patch but that's only because I kinda don't want to see the Cation series flunk. I'm very pleased with most of the series. If they only had gotten this right...
