Any of you learn moon and recognize this book? I know only that it's called 日本語.
A place from which I could download it would be real nice.

The problem is, I did half a course this summer and must do the second half to enter a higher level course at university. And we're going by this book, which I unfortunately have not scanned/copied far enough.

Actually, I did some googling and found materials from the book here: http://jplang.tufs.ac.jp/en/ka/1/1.html, but I'm not good enough to find out any data about the actual book. If all else fails, I will just try to study from this website.

I'm always a bit surprised by how they make a fuss about removing their shoes when entering a home in Japan. In my part of Canada at least, walking in someone's house with your shoes on would be seriously rude. Are there really amerikkans who walk around in their room with shoes on?

Here in England people don't always care, and when a Japanese friend asked me why people don't take their shoes off I told him something about it being ungentlemanly/unladylike to remove one's clothing. I think he went back to Japan believing that.

okay, after some googling I found out the book is called Shokyuu Nihongo (not genki or minna), and apparently no scans exist as it's unpopular in America and Europe (except for Poland where I'm from, they use it at a few universities). So I'm fucked anyway.
