It's LHC time again!
They'll probably start it up in the next 2-4 days, collisions will be nearly 10 times more powerful than the first one.

More power more GAPS!

Do you remember the LHC-Gensokyo craze from the good old times?

LHC is the fucking Hakkero. Not Marisa's knockoff, the real Hakkero. Eight trigrams, inconceivably hot and cold at the same time, can destroy even immortals, it's got it all.

Sun Wukong is so going to break out of that thing.

Without trying to sound poetic, it felt like being in the presence of a god. I was there on a school trip with a group of friends (normie scum etc). I can remember specifically leaving afterwards and feeling very excited and honored to have been in the presence of such a thing. My friend gave me a hug to 'let out' his excitement.

This is the main heatsink they have there. It runs to the surface.

2010 : LHC is repaired and 100% operational.First controlled creation of stable micro black holes and subsequent distortion of the great border in Gensokyo.

2011 : First controlled wormhole connects Earth and the newly discovered dimension.

2015: The first Yukkuri appear between Switzerland and France, near CERN.

2016: Yukkuri spread all over Europe. First sightings in Asia and America. All attempts to close LHC gaps are unsuccessful.

2017-2018 Pest control is useless. World food reserves nearly depleted.

2020-2024 First stage of project Exodus. Selected groups depart from Cern and explore the new world . None of them returns.

2026-2027 Yukkuri take over the Earth.

2028 Last efforts for a final expedition in Gensokyo... battalion returns with a stange childlike winged creature encased in ice, covered with frogs.....

I can't remember actually. I'll ask my friend the next time I speak to him. I believe it's insulating tape or something.

Duct tape was however used at some point in space, years ago. I can't remember specifically what it was but I read a small column about it in an issue of Popular Science a few months ago.

ItaLoLspacefag here.

Duct tape was used to fix one of the Apollo rovers, duct tape is also an important part of the improvised co2 filter adapter on apollo 13.

Improvised repairs are very exciting: i still remember viewing live the ISS solar panel repair, one lone astronaut tethered on the robotic arm, quite far away from the airlock,he managed to attach some strings on the bent panels.

There's also the Skylab Blanket! (pic related, lol)
