You know, I thought about exactly the same. Then I came up with a idea of Firefox extension called "4chan Multilurker" (MULTI-BOARD LURKING) that you could use to mash boards together into "virtual boards" - like for example you could create a /j/ board for yourself which would include the first page threads of /a/ and /jp/ one after each other, so you would have 20 threads per page in this virtual /j/ board.

Unfortunately I can't code for shit so I can only dream ;_;
