Nothing really, it's the evolution of music scenes.

Korea stole j-pop and made it even more generic and whitewashed, so now Japan is going into a more alternative direction with stuff like Brand New Idol Society, Babymetal and so many others

Next to Portuguese. They sound like corrupted versions of local languages.

I am probably going to get shit for saying this but I honestly believe Babymetal would be a lot better without the two little girls. The oldest one has a good voice but it's brought down by the other two who almost feel like they are there for the sake of being there.

They were there because Babymetal was formed in an idol group that was nothing but little girls, even with the older girls Su was the only one who could really carry a tune.

They're mostly just there as backup dancers, sure their earlier songs with them as backup singers is sometimes like listening to a screeching cat dragging chalk down a blackboard, but in the years since then they've actually become better singers and thank god they sound nothing live like what they do on the studio songs from 4 years ago.

They even have a couple of songs with just the two of them.

And the lead singer has a couple of songs without the two girls. If you watch their recent live DVD/BluRay and watch their earlier performances when it was all done through playback the difference is night and day.

metal sucks and all tries to sound the same, this is coming from someone who was a metalhead for the better part of two decades.

The reason why I love Babymetal and would rather listen to them instead of Impaled Northern Moonforest or whatever is because they actually make their music fun and mix it up through various genres in cluding but not limited to j-pop, and they're so kawaii~~ uguu~~~~ (=^-ω-^=)

Yeah, that one too.
But while that one sounds funny, Korean just hurts my ears, there's zero musicality or flow in it. Makes me think their runes got mixed somewhere in the past and people instead of noticing the problem just started talking into that broken mess.

At their Los Angeles concert the AC at the indoor venue crapped out sometime during their set and one of them had to be hospitalized due to heat exhaustion, the same thing almost happened when they played at an outdoor concert in Montreal. Still, they go through a whole training regiment that is almost on the same level as Chinese acrobats or Russian ballet dancers.

Their most physical dance routine probably has to be IDZ, especially for the two backup moe girls that run accross the stage and shake their heads off & have a choreographed fighting segment in the middle of the song.

Nips are too neurotic and depressed for even making children, how they could stop the Koreans? The latter has a clear objective and goverment sponsor, Japan's main activity is to whine because they're so ronery

Probably not. The cute girls playing metal/rock had been done over and over again before Babymetal was a thing and it never really went anywhere.

The huge part of their success is that they have literally dozens and dozens of people, most of whom are veterans, who either composed their songs or played as part of the live band.

Guys in the studio included Daiki Kasho who is a renowned video game soundtrack composer, Takeshi Ueda who was the bassist for the Mad Capsules Market, and Yuyoyuppe who is one of the leading producers in vocaloid rock & metal.

In the live band you have people like Takayoshi Ohmura & Yuya Maeta who also play for Marty Friedman's (guitarist for Megadeth) live band, Mikio Fujioka who is a teacher at the Musicians Institute Of Tokyo who specialises in Jazz, etc. All of the band members have their own bands or main projects.

Babymetal is almost more like a supergroup, with 3 lolis dancing around.
