Kill me for the suggestion, but /a/ has a radio station which primarily plays general japanese music and not anime-related music, so it could possibly fill the void.

It also has a lively IRC, a snazzy website, and multiple streaming options:

/jp/ radio died sometime in April 2014

Someone decided to make a replacement of it by making https://chiru.no/ but it's a clusterfuck of a website and my FireFox doesn't even let me open it because there is some SSL certificate issue.

It's a shame that chiru.no uses /jp/ radio's IRC channel. Such shit shouldn't be using the channel of the comfy /jp/ radio. Even though it's now dead, the memories of it aren't.

It also hosts its own imageboard, so not sure how it's "/jp/radio" if they prefer using their own imageboard over /jp/.

Anyway, there are better alternatives there that can fill the void:

http://touhouradio.com/ -- well, a touhou-only radio

http://gensokyoradio.net/ -- some shady touhou-only radio. never used it, so just throwing it up here. seems to be somewhat popular among japanese audience, according from their website statistics.
