sorry, i misread the question as if i like or hate touhou
the things i like is the relationship to the japanese folklore, the decent STGs and that it was the reason that many things like /jp/ was only created due to this it's fandom
the things i don't like are the character designs, the fandom around it and that you only have a limited amount of lifes in most games, also i don't like the fighting game series and the official and unofficial manga about touhou

Until ZUN actively tries to localize the games and sell it to me I'll continue to pirate the games and distribute them among my acquaintances.

I don't mind the doujin idea behind the project but don't complain when people on the other side of the planet aren't willing to import it and pay 3x the price of the game due to taxes and shit just to play a STG.

I say primaries in the vein of those that play the games, but not all of them read the manga or the other official books and sometimes are swayed away by fanon knowledge just because of how predominant they are.

I love massive amount of characters and the folklore and the many of the games, I like the mangas as a slice of life-event of the week.

while I don't hate Reimu or Marisa, I feel that the extra material use them too much, there is a lot of character to focus on wihtout them. Also the lack of a main plot.

a lot of the flanderization they cause, to the point that you can't talk about a character whitout people talking only about their fandom image of the character, and of course some of the stuff the fandom have created. and as many, the yurifags that want that everthing here have to be yuri and ruin everthing that dont meet their ideals.

I always thought it's because they're all scrappy as hell and enjoy beating each other up for little to no reason.

Kind of like if someone sees you in Pokemon they instantly challenge you to battle.

If some of the Touhous actions during the fighting games are anything to go by (Like for example, Alice warning people about a dangerous upcoming earthquake), they're actually nice girls underneath their "RAWR I BEAT YOU UP" exteriors.

I like the gameplay, the characters, the music, the setting, the vampire lolis, how canon leaves so much space for fantheory while having so much entries and content, and how most of the cast are qt girls. I like >the story, and all that "peace pipe tea party" stuff. I like how the games and dialog makes brutal monsters and circumstances seem so light-hearted.

I hate how ZUN doesn't really give a shit about the western fanbase and how he won't respond "important" questions, also I hate how canon sometimes contradicts itself. I don't really care about fighters.
