>32-year-old Kurosaki Yoriko has no man, no friends and no job. She starts to live alone for the first time and comes in touch with a new world. This is the story of the small incidents that occur within a 7-minute walking distance from her apartment.
I love this show. Yoriko is quite embarrassing and almost all of her problems are self-induced and wouldn't be problems for anyone else, but I can't help but feel for her anyway and the situations are hilarious.

More of the same shit, the acting is worse than ever, I consider dropping this.

>Hana Moyu
Taiga drama of the year, mainly watching because of actors: Mao Inoue, Kengo Kora and Masahiro Higashide, will probably put it on hold and marathon it.

>Utsukusiki Wana - Zanka Ryoran
>34-years-old Rika Ikeda has an affair with 54-years-old Sota Kashiwagi.
All of the characters act questionably in at least one way so I don't feel any sympathy for anyone, but they sure are fascinating to watch.

I'm not big on romance dramas, but the pairing is good and I like Kamenashi Kazuya's acting.

The message is okay, but this one is mostly aimed at women, gonna drop it.

Probably the best drama this year. Full of action and suspense, and of course, stellar leads -- Toma Ikuta and Shun Oguri, also Juri Ueno.

Name me a drama that's actually story-driven and not hung-up on its diverse characters with a troubled past. Very rare indeed, it all boils down to the same shit.

I once saw a show with another null-story which was basically an hour-long commercial for Nissan. During the commercial break they had Nissan commercials referencing the show itself and the program was sure enough brought to you by Nissan.

J-Dramas are super cheesy, super cheap late-afternoon entertainment for bored out housewives, why are you watching this?

The actors can't even act.

No not at all. True detective is grounded in reality and has some fantasy/horror implications but everything is rational and explicable in human terms. Mozu is more like Hannibal, in that the setting is ostensibly contemporary but the characters have almost magical superpowers that defy logic and reason. Mozu is lazy writing.

Anyone watch the "Gou-Gou datte neko dearu" mini-series? I tried to watch the movie a while ago but couldn't get into it, possibly because of Ueno Juri. But the mini-series was excellent - great shots of Tokyo and a wonderful soundtrack.

Apart from Irie's awful acting I thought it was great. Kotoko was hilarious.

I tried to watch the first episode of s2 but fuck man, I just can't see any way that it could be as good now that they are married. I expect there would just be a lot of cheap drama that would ultimately devalue it too hard

I loved Itakiss, it was great. Furukawa Yuki's acting was pretty stiff but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and blame it on Naoki being a cold character.

Even considering how much I love s1, I can't bring myself to watch season 2... I can't imagine it being nearly as good. Maybe I should give it a try though, if only for Kinchan.

Watching Last Friends reminded me of how different Jdramas are from Kdramas - much more grounded, quirky, heartfelt, wholesome and warm in this glowy sort of way, despite the dark themes.

What a surprise. It’s almost nothing like what I’d expected from tvN - all style, no substance. Instead, we have something special here, something inexplicably moving. For me it’s the friendship between Ho Goo and Do Hee. The first sign that this wasn’t the My Sassy Girl drama version I’d expected was that Do Hee was okay and decent to Ho Goo from the start. Even though he does have the emotional maturity of a fourteen year old, even though she doesn’t tell him so many things, even though she’s prickly and hot tempered and haughty, she accepts his companionship and presence, and I think she appreciates his kindness and sincerity, even if she doesn’t really show it. Although Ho Goo’s the lead and narrator of the story, Do Hee is definitely the more interesting character. She’s haughty but she’s not mean; she’s prickly but she’s not bitchy. Instead, she’s just a girl who has a lot of drive and a lot of pride, who’s so fiercely independent, so competitive and focused on winning that she’s accepted a life without friends. She in no ways needs “saving”, but I think she needs someone to show her that she’s not alone in this world. Not necessarily as a romantic partner, more as a friend and family, which is why I’d totally be ok with them not ending up together and just becoming more like pseudo-family. After all, Ho Goo’s two BFFs are already part of his awesome family, I hope, no I need, Do Hee to become a part of this too. Her and her baby. Do Hee is a fighter to the end, but I think what she needs is a place like “home” that she can come back to if she doesn’t get the gold medal, a place where she can cry and eat ramen and be loved by people who don’t give a damn whether she gets that gold medal or not, because they know she’s a winner no matter what.

What a story... Although Its kind of off-place or hard to believe that so many people in this drama share the same fate its still well made.

Hey /jp/, I've never been here before but I watched this about a month ago and I though it was amazing. It felt like I was watching a gag anime, with the plots focusing on procrastination and constant anime references. Do you guys have any recs for something similar?

I'm also open to anything else, if you have any sort of starter pack that you give people. I'd prefer comedy, though Mysteries could be cool, but I don't know much about the culture.
