The only people who insist on distinguishing between "faith" and "religion" are trendy kids who want to embrace a vague sense of spirituality without attaching themselves to the messy labels associated with any actual religion and who also want to avoid adhering to any real doctrines, so they can dictate their religious beliefs by their moods and feelings. Which is frivolous and stupid.

People shouldn't treat religion as a sort of fashion accessory which they can choose and change between as easily as they do with their clothes. These are serious ideologies that people live and die by.

Historically Japan had to cope with the different (although not mutually exclusive) religions of Shintoism, Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, and now Gensokyo is too.

I hope that ZUN will keep this narrative up and introduce a Jesuit Touhou, also.
