Classic Nitroplus title, written by the Gen Urobuchi (Saya no Uta, Phantom of Inferno, Psycho Pass, Madoka, etc)

It's somewhat obscure in the western world, but it is generally considered one of the greatest revenge tales ever told.

It's set in a futuristic Shanghai, where cybernetic advances make unaugmented humans rare.

The story follows Kong Tauluo - ex-assassin of the Qingyun Society, China's biggest crime syndicate - returning to town after a one year absence in recovery after being betrayed by high ranking members of the Society and presumed dead.

When he returns, he finds out that they have gang-raped, tortured, and brutally murdered his sister before transfering her soul into 5 sex dolls, which have been given similar treatment for the past year.

Basically, he's going to get revenge on the people responsible, while collecting the soul fragments from the 5 dolls in an attempt to restore his sister in another artifical body.

Good stuff, although kinda soul crushing.
Pure comedy recommened afterwards.

Yes, this is the remake.

The main differences are:
-high quality artwork
-animation
-voice acting
-large amount of effects and camera work.

It has some of the highest production values within the medium.

I've tested that personally without problems, so it's not likely to be an issue for others.

In any case, I'll see if I can make a pre-patched iso version if there are issues with the HDD one I've uploaded.

And again, the manual patch works perfectly with any pre-installed version of the remake.
If there are issues, use that one with one of the links provided in the readme.

Yeah, same issue one of the testers had.

If you can't circumvent it, follow one of the links in the readme, install, then just copy the contents of the pre-patched version into it.

It'll be sorted out for the next release, most likely.

This one is actually the easiest version to find and should have high download speeds.

One slight problem I've already noticed with this is that the game resolution in window mode is too tall for my laptop monitor. Even when I hide my taskbar, there's still a small part of the window cut off. I'll have to play in full screen and deal with the slightly blurred text.

I never really followed what happened with this after the TLWiki release and when JAST picked it up.

When JAST got this did they update the translation that Makoto did for the TLWiki release? Or was it basically the same thing? If the two are different then which one does this patch use? Or did you just retranslate it all yourself?

The only pre-patched version of the game that exists now is the one on Nyaa, which was compiled by someone else. I haven't had any feedback on it myself, but based on the amount of downloads and seeders, it likely works.

The most up-to-date version is the MediaFire/Dropbox links I posted.
I'd recommend that version actually, as it is tested and confirmed working for everyone.

Very simple install, with drag and drop and batch files for automation.

Like I said earlier, my upload speed is awful.
It takes up to 8 hours for me to even upload 1.6gb.

The pre-patched torrent that exists has an up-to-date translation, both text and menu, so if it works for you, there's no reason not to use it.

The newer version I've uploaded is simply a re-packaged patch with automatic npa patching and in-depth instructions.
The actual game files have not been altered since release.

The only difference is that the "Presented by Nitroplus" message on the title screen will be in russian, as my patch does not cover it, given that it is already in english in the JP version.
