It's probably one of the least memorable final boss themes, but it's not that bad in my opinion. It sort of reminds me of Strawberry Crisis, although not quite as good. Interestingly, Kokoro's theme is the only final boss theme (excluding PC-98 ones) to not feature trumpets anywhere.

Literally what

Shinmyoumaru's theme is one of the most emotion-packed final boss songs in the series, when you remember that she's desperately fighting on behalf of her race/species which has been utterly humiliated and thrown away for being "weak". Then it really hits you.

Basically, most of the stage 6 boss themes are "LOOK AT HOW FUCKING AWESOME I AM" but hers is really morose and gives off the feeling of someone who is truly truly desperate and willing to do anything. I like that different feeling.

I'd say Kokoro's theme gives off more of that "different" feel of moroseness and desperation, as well as an overwhelming loneliness, similar to Parsee's theme in some ways. The first time I listened to Lost Emotion, I was reminded of the sadness in some of the PC-98 songs. A very emotional song for an emotionless girl.

Shinmyoumaru, on the other hand? Her theme is nothing but overly-epic sounding garbage, no matter what the context is. It's actually the same "Epic" feeling as all the other stage 6 boss themes, but simply not as good. You want emotion-packed? Try Border of Life or the fittingly-named Emotional Skyscraper. At least those themes have calmer bits in them to let you relax.
