I like KFC in Japan (okinawa) because I can always rely on the backround music being of good taste. Most places like A&W, McDonalds, Mr. Donut (sometimes) and other local joints seem to let the young girls control the music, meaning I have to listen to vulgar black music which I hate. Kentucky Fried Chicken managers must take their orders from the top management in the states and they play country music. I don't particularly like it but at least it isn't vulgar and is of good taste. Thanks KFC!

In seriousness, one selling point is that the chickens are raised in Japan. Kentucky Farms is quite well-known here in Hokkaido.
