You know /jp/, if you're always so lonely, I recommend getting a pet. Especially if you're a patient type, get a rabbit. If you treat them right, they're like cats, except more caring and easier to handle.

dogs are pack animals as well as predators, which means they tend to have more empathy than cats do since they view you as packmates.

cats are solitary predators and pretty much don't give a rats-ass as long as you pet them when they want you to.

Cats hunt sometimes hunt in packs, and sometimes gather together to socialize. They're still primarily solitary.

>> No.1290097

Cats are solitary hunters, and big cats (except for lions) generally do not hang around with each other.

Housecats are different though, feral cats have been known to set up large groups (what do you call a group of cats?) and are generally very sociable with other cats, and house cats will be sociable with humans, dogs or whatever else they can get along with.

Rabbits smell really bad if you don't wash them very often. They are easy to take care of though. They also have a tendency to get themselves caught some place and die. You will need a cage and at least a second rabbit if you plan to keep one.

Cats are self cleaning (for the most part) and are easy to take care of. Just make sure they don't have a way to get into places they don't belong. You do need to make sure you have a litter box and teach the cat where its at.

Dogs are loyal, but require a good deal of taking care of and training.

reptiles don't make good pets unless you know what you are doing.

Rats/mice/ferrets ... no ... just no. They may be cute for a while, but they are a pain in the ass to keep from killing themselves.

Not true. I have a rabbit that's frighteningly smart - she's already figured out how to unlatch her hutch from the inside and break out during the day. I have to use a damn bicycle lock on it to keep her from going on a rampage.

In terms of intelligence, rabbits are just like any other animals. Some will be stupid, and others won't be. As someone who's had pets at both end of the spectrum (my first dog used to take candy out of a jar I had on my table, unwrap it, and eat it, leaving wrappers all over), I can say that smart pets are more of a hassle but also more interesting.
