Nah, that's pretty much normal. I started pff, 5ish months ago? and had huuuge problems with resources because I wanted to actually play all the time. It's still a browser game, you gotta pace yourself.
Gotta rake in natural regen and wait for quest resets. I also had a lot of issues with early maps, until I actually had enough resources to run girls that weren't DDs. If you can get some CAs and CLs up and running, and stop trying to S rank every node by going to night battle like I did, you'll get work done. The only one that matters is the boss node. I made due with CVLs early on mostly as well. RJ came to me very early.
Ultimately you just want to take it easy. I tried to burn through everything insanely fast because I got into the game for Nagato, and I wanted her. It didn't work.
I still don't have her.

Man, Nagato is still the rarest ship I have. Got a single drop from spring E-3 and haven't seen her since. Well over 100 tries of LSC and a whole bunch of minimum LSC and not a single Nagato.

OK, I'm feeling nice today:

Google search autohotkey and download it.
Google search Pulover's Macro Creator.
Download KanColleViewer and play using your API.
Open Macro Creator, Go to Options, uncheck Mouse Moves and Window Classes.
Click on the record button, when ready press F9 to start recording.
Simulate an expedition while recording, the program will copy all mouse clicks. After that export to AHK and you can start, stop and pause the macro with the keyboard hotkeys you selected (default is F5 I believe).
Sit back and do whatever you want while the game does the expeditions for you.

Autohotkey works with the program window minimized and doesn't actually use your mouse pointer, unlike clickers. It works even with your Windows locked. Shit's real fucking good. Do mission 2 over and over again for unlimited buckets and ammo. Do mission 5 for oil. You need them.

Only now I noticed how the battle animation start is called, that's hilarious. On more serious note, I can't understand how the fuck AA cut-in works. The number of planes shot down swings widely, from 120(maximum possible in 2-2 Wo boss node, and I saw it only once) down to ~50 in similar situations. Fatigue might affect it too, given how I accidentally sortied ships at orange and Akizuki shot down only 10somthing planes.

Either make one single macro for three expeditions at the same time, which brings less resources, or make three macros for each exp. at the risk of overlapping now and then. The chances are low if you time correctly and do at least 20 clicks on the main window so you confirm more than one expedition when it's over. You get the gist of it with the time.

Either way, macros are for when you aren't in front of the PC or don't feel like clicking expeditions ever 40 minutes.

if they see you sending off 20-40 minute expeditions non stop for a period of over 24 hours, they can assume you're running a script and ban you if necessary. they can also look at the total number of expeditions one has. if it's over something like 30k, they can safely assume that the player has been scripting. the process of detecting this kind of stuff can be automated on the server side, but whether the devs actually have that automated or go through the trouble and check every player manually if any at all is still unknown.

I blasted through with 4FBB 2CV, BEIL. Not the most resource efficient but given that I have no strong CA/CAVs its fast and simple to get the monthly medal.
It is still possible to get crit hard though, just less likely as you pile on the levels.

Yeah, I usually run 2 attack planes and 2 fighters on each CV/CVL, but the 3 ace squadrons on my level grinding Souryuu gives her a nice +11 acc boost, and I haven't seen her miss yet which is kinda nice.

Ace (named) Zero 21s would have at least 9 AA, which means Ace 52s, Shiden K2 and Reppuu squadrons would have 10, 11 and 12 AA respectively.

Since veteran fighters give +2 Acc boost, and 601 fighters give +1 Acc, ace fighters will probably have +2 or more Acc boost.

For the first few months doing this map I actually put Ooyodo as flag. I only put Shioi on flag recently. From the thousands runs to the map, I can see subs are more likely to get red than anyone else, so giving the flagship protection to one of them would be nice. Shioi is also the lowest leveled among them so the extra exp is also welcomed. Also, increased chance to cut-in.

I want her to hit first for the second shelling phase at the first node. Most of the time I have to retreat is because of the first node, the other nodes are much easier and S-ranking the boss, if I reach it, is also easier. What I want is to maximize my chance of getting the first node more than anything else.

The problem of the first node is more to the ASW ships more than the BB or anything. You have to kill all those ASW ships before they could hit any of the subs. Ooyodo and Taihou can shell any of those ASW ships much reliably than KTKM, so KTKM is on 4th slot. I'm not sure why I put Ooyodo on 2nd but I guess because she carries searchlight (she was the flag before). Goya on 5th because she can cut-in better than Hachi.

Actually I want the Tsu to be killed first (and also the DDs) instead of the BB. The Tsu can red your subs much often than the BB can red someone. I found that Ooyodo is just as reliable as Taihou in killing those. Well probably Taihou is still better so I guess trying Taihou on 2nd next time won't hurt.
