I know that the slur against the japanese in alot of other Asian countries is "dwarf".
I think that cartoons will summarize all of the stereotypes pretty well. The most offensive would probably be Bugs Bunny Nips the 'Nips, war propaganda. The Simpsons and King of the Hill both have episodes where the characters visit Japan, they hit all the modern stereotypes. If the country was at war with Japan 70 years ago, there will probably be more negative stereotypes, if the country deals with Japanese tourists today, there will probably be more obnoxious stereotypes.

m a foriener in japan and these signs are rare. i have found that if you are with japanese people or you are polite and respectful you can enter most places. I went to a japanese only club with another english guy and it was no problem even though they have a big sign saying no forieners. most of the signs result from problems with the large amount of american military based in japan, generally if your not american military, you attempt to speak japanese and are respectfull there is no problem.
