Funny story about that. Around here we had a street called Jap Road. It was named so because a rice farmer moved from Japan to the area and showed everyone how to grow rice. At the time no one thought it was offensive, even the family that moved there.

A few years back some NAACP faggot drove through town and saw the street and thought it was racist. So they made a huge deal about it and the local government was forced to change the name. Everyone that lived in the area thought it was bullshit, including the guy's kids that still lived there.
