So /jp/, break it down for me, will we never see pic related translated?

A long time back, Amaterasu had this on the poll but it lost to other choices. And then I heard that TLWiki picked it up but the project never went through beyond preliminary stages.

So will it rot and stay untranslated for all eternity because it has aged badly and besides having prominence as an old meme, it is unheard of and uninteresting? What gives?

True, I only dabble in VNs every now and then but it is strange since Cross Channel, although it took a while to get it to happen, got translated despite its only claim to fame to the west being the flash game at the time.
