But yeah, I never really want to be reminded of the magnitude of how much we're doing. If we counted by lines, we have over 80k lines to translate in total. Not bad for a first project...

I'll post this here, since this and the VN General are probably where most of the FTP users are.

I am currently moving to a new home (I'll have to leave the student dorm due to not being a student anymore), and as a result my uplink will drop from 100 mbps to 20 mbps (fastest I could get). This basically means the FTP's speed will be reduced by theoretically 80% (probably less, but still a sharp decrease). I'll leave the server in my old home until I lose access to it (September 19th); if you still want to download something on the FTP at a decent speed, I recommend doing it before then.

One of the Sukisho! editors here:

Goal is to have the game 100% finished and released by October 31 at the latest. Game will be 100% translated well before then (feel free to quote me), but we are doing a revamp of the scripts. October 31 is pretty pessimistic guess, probably much sooner, but eh.

I am seeking translators for the next three games now. I've given my current translator enough opportunities to work on the game, but she is not able to commit, so I have pursued other options.

Did this guy accurately describe Comyu? Spoilered because I get the impression he said too much:

coμ: The characters are obnoxious, the plot nonsensical, they don't even bother to tie up loose ends and the ending is them literally throwing everything out of the window for an "our fight starts here" thing. It's terrible. Also my favourite character dies so fuck them.

Also if so what does he mean by "our fight starts here"?

>> No.12447354

It is pretty accurate.
"our fight starts here" basically means most endings would have "TO BE CONTINUED IN SEASON 2" disclaimer right after if this was an anime. As in, they end after a culmination of some sort; while most if not all big issues are still unresolved. With no wrap-up to speak of.

Seems like Mangagamer's gearing up to dump a Cartagra demo. Who knows, Maybe doddler's dream will come true and they'll manage to get it out before the end of the year? They seem to almost be putting out two a month now.

Funfact: Assuming Mangagamer can continue to put out one more title each month this year, they'll have released as many games this year as JAST has in the last five.

The dumbest part about all of this is how everyone is trying to translate this one line when it's the title of a fucking visual novel. He was obviously asking for people to translate the VN.

Though at the same time, I suppose that's his punishment for being one of those idiots who keeps injecting Japanese text into their sentences when the romaji would do just fine. You get a lot of those in this thread.

It's especially weird because this is the VNTS thread. It makes sense for this to happen in the VN General Thread, were people actually know Japanese.

It's not 'going.' There was an old project by an ESL using machine translation. It was abandoned a long time ago, and then one of Ixrec's stupidest editors found it and decided to re-edit the text, and released a patch, adding even more errors. That's the entirety of the project.

Well, the one about the breech was asked by a user a not-anonymously, and he asked a similar question of doddler, so I'm pretty sure that's genuine.

The first five or so are definitely fake though, Kouryuu admitted that himself that he did those to try and preempt common questions, since the supposed reason he set up the mangagamer ask.fm was so he wouldn't have hundreds of mangagamer questions on his personal one*.

*End result, there are now two ask.fms where people are asking him mangagamer questions

Wat.
PSP Danganronpa doesn't have full voice acting?
Really? Fucking really? I understand when NDS games don't have voice because there is not enough space but a fucking 1.3 gb VN without voices?
I bet they did it so they can sell the same game twice, only this time on psv and with full voice.

PSV Danganronpa has full voice acting, right?

Vita doesn't have full voices either. The court scenes are fully voiced but otherwise besides a very small selection of important scenes it's just short blurbs repeated at the start of lines.

Don't worry, they don't bother "translating" either, they just make up stuff:

//<0119> どうも腑に落ちない様子。シンパイダーマンのことが気にかかっているのか。
<0119> She still seems puzzled by this. Is "dowry" the problem now?
//following this are supplementary puns based on shinpaidaman, which I have completely thrown out the window and replaced with a completely unrelated mental dialogue I made up ~IX

//<7113> 張り、
<7113> This better get through to you!
//<7114> 倒すッ!!!!
<7114> ――――!!!!
//the actual line is something like "I will...defeat you!!!" but that's the wrong tl for the verb in this context, so the only accurate thing would be "I will...punch you (into submission?)!!!!" which is dumb. So I just made up my own lines. ~IX
